This is my first beer by them and I am very impressed. I went in expecting an american wheat that has been hopped with Citra. That is what I got. Don't expect a wheat IPA (Lil Sumpin) or even a pale ale level of bitterness. The truth is, it is a wheat ale that is hardly bitter but it comes with all goodness of Citra. Must be mostly dry-hopped? Hops are subtle but it adds a wonderful tropical, citrus to a well crafted wheat. Not sure what else you could ask for!

12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a big pillowy white head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is sweet tropical fruit and wheaty malt.
The flavor is sweet tropical fruit, wheat malt a little sugar and grassy bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.
Overall, interesting hoppy wheat, but not a great blend of the sweet and bitter.

It doesn't live up to the name. It's just a nice wheat beer.

this is quite good, but it didnt really stack up to expectations for me. these guys are really blowing up, putting tons of beer out in cans, good for them. this one is a little less impressive than the rest i have had, but it is quite different too. i guess i sort of expected an ipa here, a wheat and citra ipa, but it isnt that. there is a lot more balance and wheat flavor than i anticipated, not necessarily at the expense of the citra, but the hops are only equal contributors, not dominant players here. its nice to have such clean fresh wheat flavor without the caramelized thing that usually accompanies it in hoppier beer. its light and cerealy and good. i just think citra hops are awesome, and i want to taste them a bit more in this beer. they are more there in the aroma than in the flavor, and almost done by the finish when they should be most expressive. cool beer, but think more wheat beer than hoppy beer. for my palate, this would be greatly improved with a higher dose of the hops, but i like it for what it is, quite refreshing and unlike other wheat pale ale types on the market. these guys are on a roll.
