Copper to faint amber colored. No head but there’s aggressive carbonation bubbles erupting at the top. The aroma is of pumpkin pie spice, ginger, and nutmeg. I’m tasting a lot of cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin, and clove. The mouth is busy with carbonation and warm with spices.

Poured from a can. Darker caramel in color with a white head and some lacing. Smells of pumpkin and cinnamon. Taste follows the smell with a good mix of flavors that hides the slightly higher avb.

Poured from a 12oz can into a Montauk pint glass.

Look is a cloudy hazy amber orange with a head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma is a buttery spice.

Taste is a spicy cinnamon malty beer.

Good classic pumpkin beer.

Poured from a 12oz can with a canned on date of 7/24/19; into a pint glass.
Appearance- a semi cloudy orange, with lots of bubbles; head is a thin, sudsy off white that leaves ring upon ring of lacing.
Smell - rich pumpkin pie, coriander and a hint of cinnamon!
Taste- weaker than the nose, though the flavor matches.
Feel - mild body, drinkable even with the 7.7%.
Overall- nice, strong pumpkin beer that is a treat on a cold fall day.

LOOK - quite hazy deep orange/gold color - 1 finger head - low retention
SMELL - some hops but barely - caramel - vegetables - pie spices
TASTE - kick of tart fruit and slight bitterness (maybe from hops?) - slightly sweet - caramelly - earthy/vegetably - lots of pumpkin spices - maybe too heavy on the clove and ginger - it gets almost 'hot' like a pepper beer
FEEL - medium bodied but seems to go a bit flat - fruit / veggie beer tend to not have as much retention
OVERALL - this is a decent pumpkin ale - labelled as an Imperial on the can but doesn't seem to be that boozy - a little too heavy on the spices (clove and ginger) - could have used some more cinnamon and nutmeg - decent beer for sure but not my favorite pumpkin brew - I would buy again though

Easily the worst beer I've ever had. Instead of brewing it with real pumpkins they just dumped a metric ton of spice into the brew. Poured the whole bottle into the sink after two sips. Just abysmal.

Nice brownish-orange body with a decent, sticky head. Strong pumpkin pie aroma; allspice and cinnamon. Tastes like a pumpkin ale; spicy with fine pumpkin overtone and pumpkin pie spices; slight hint of alcohol. Heavy body; warm and tingly on the palate.

A rock-solid pumpkin ale indicating a bit of its imperial lineage with a subtle touch of booziness. Overall, it's well-balanced and tasty for a seasonal ale.

Wow. I have tried dozens of pumpkin beers over the years, and I've only truly liked a couple - one of Elysian's, and 4 Noses Pump Action Imperial Pumpkin Ale. I enjoy the beer more each time I have one. Yes, it's heavy on the spices, but not too much - it adds bite to the tip of the tongue without taking away pumpkin flavor. With a nice dark orange tint, the body of the beer is smooth and coating with the perfect amount of foam. 7.7%! If you can only drink one beer on a weeknight or don't want to drink more than one, then this is a perfect beer for that. The value of this beer is unbelievable - I got it on sale for $8.99 for a six pack (on sale from $10.99). I love the 4 Noses flavor profiles and need to head to the brewery ASAP.

Looks the part of a great pumpkin ale upon pour, rusty orange translucence with a slightly off-white head. The nose comes off cinnamon-forward, raising an eyebrow, and flavor follows suit. This could honestly be called a spice beer if you took out the pumpkin - cinnamon really takes front and center and diminishes my enjoyment of the beer. Reminiscent of MexiCola. If you like a heavily-spiced pumpkin ale, this one's for you, though I cannot say this displays a balanced array of spices, either. I've had this in years past and liked it, and will say it gets everything else right, just too heavy-handed on that one component. I'll try it again next year and see if they've backed it off, but won't buy any more this season.

Look: Ruby-orange with a very tan, soft head that lingers well
Smell: Strong, rich pumpkin, clove, nutmeg. Not quite pumpkin pie, but more like a fall scented candle you'd burn around October/November
Taste: Grainy, pumpkiny, fall spices, and... more spices.
Feel: Definitely noticable thickness from the pumpkins, heavy, almost syrup density, but not sticky. Kind of dry except for some lingering pumpkin and spice notes. Smooth, soft carbonation.
Overall: One of my favorite pumpkin beers, always willing to pick one or a pack up, or if it's on tap, definitely getting one.

L: Brillant clear dark red color with a small white head that dissipates very quickly, and no lacing on the glass.

S: Roasted pumpkin, mixed with cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Reminds me very much of homemade pumpkin pie. The pumpkin aroma is nicely balanced out by the spices.

T: Pumpkin is very noticeable and that is balanced out by the cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. A slight bitterness from the spices near the end. There is a very nice balance of everything in this beer.

F: Medium body and lower carbonation.

O: I really like this beer. I am not a big fan of pumpkin beers, because, usually the spices are way too strong. While they are strong in this one, things are nicely balanced out and you can actually taste the pumpkin in it.

12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy copper amber with a medium creamy off white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet pumpkin pie spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice.

The flavor is sweet sugary fruit with a lot of pumpkin pie spice - nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation.

Overall, a nice sweet spiced pumpkin beer.

canning this one now, and calling it an imperial pumpkin ale, things must have changed a little bit since this one was added. its listed at 7.7% abv on the can, and is one of the better pumpkin beers i have had this season. a great compliment to halloween jack o lantern carving, thats for sure. it is deep amber orange rusty colored, richer looking than many, with an off white fizzy head that rises over an inch high, but fades fast. it smells awesome, tons of earthy bitter squash, and a cornucopia of spices, but very little of the residual sugar that often turns me off to this style. i get the smell and taste of brown sugar, but its not sweet at all. hints of vanilla and raw cacao, with cinnamon and clove as well, but the spices never get more intense than the flesh of the pumpkin itself. one of the few beers where the spices serve to compliment the pumpkin, not fill in for it or takeover there. i love that balance. i also like all the body it has, and the carbonation too, its big but drinkable, and i think serves the spirit of the season as well as any. this beer shows brains, maturity, and a sense of place in the market. i think these guys are leaps and bounds ahead of other breweries that opened around the same time. this is killer pumpkin ale.
