12oz can, "canned by hands" on 06/06/17

Great looking beer: golden, see-through, thin layer of bubbles that sticks to the glass. Smell is clean grains and hops. Taste is also very clean and hop-focused: Crackers, malted barley and piney citrus hops.

I love a pils that focuses on hop flavor. This is one of the best in that category

Poured into a iced pilsner glass from a can, it flows into the glass and deposits about a half inch frothy head, that stays for awhile. Golden amber color, tastes a combination of breads, some hops and light fruit. The taste sticks with you and changes to a non-bitter finish. I told my wife to try it and she said yes its not as hoppy as those other beers you get, its good. There are hints of fruit but not overpowering, nice balance, a lot going on for a pilsner. Not much carbonation, but very smooth feel on the way down and it is a nice change from all the IPA's out there. Smell is easy and fresh. Will definitely be picking up another 6 pack.

Appearance: Clear and golden on the pour with a frothy meringue-like head; nice and sticky, the head deposits lots of foam on the glass

Smell: Citrusy like an IPA, with undertones of pilsner malt and grassy notes

Taste: The pilsner malt lays down some biscuity sweetness and then the citrusy hops take over, bringing mango and papaya ; after the swallow, the anticipated grassiness arrives and lingers into the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with crisp carbonation

Overall: Definitely a neo pilsner, as is advertised on the can - I like it, though traditionalists may beg to differ

Review from BA Mag Issue #118 ( Nov 2016 )

Grass, Herbal, Citrus, Spicy
Bauhaus Brew Labs go right after the style with Wonderstuff, there’s no pussyfooting at all here. It's all clean and lager-like but this Pils is also a bit raw and brash with a mouthful of grass, herbal hops, and some subtle yeast character. After a quick kiss of alcohol, it does go a bit spicy and citrusy in the hop flavor toward the middle to end of the sip, with what I guess is a bit of American flare? The biggest problem I have with this beer and the brewers’ approach is that it should have been in 16 ounce tallboys so I could properly drink it out of a mug or perhaps from just the can itself. Pours a clear gold with a fluffy white head that dissipates quickly to a thin layer leaving a bit of lacing. Lots of bubbles streaming up. Smells of malt, slightly spicy hop profile and a bready undertone. Tastes grassy, and the spicy hops definitely come through before a sweet floral undertone for the finish. Mouthfeel is medium, honestly heavier than I'd expect for a pilsner, with a lot of carbonation. Overall a good pilsner, but the mouthfeel keeps it from being a good summer beer for me.

Pours lighter gold. Medium, foamy, Whitehead, last a while with lacing.

Smells malts, fruity, lemon, Citrus, yeasty, Light grassy hints.

Taste citrus, fruit, light spiciness, finishes dry with a bitter long Citrus linger. Lighter body and higher fizzy carbonation.

A solid and true-to-style if unspectacular Czech Pilsener. Had this as part of the "year-round" flight at the brewery. Highly drinkable but not a standout.

Wonderstuff pours a creamy golden color with a small but lacing head. A creamy and crisp malty aroma. Taste has a creamy mash flavor, with a noticeable hoppy aftertaste. Good feel. Overall, a very good pils. A bit stronger and fuller body, with more hops then others.

Pretty good stuff. More bitter than the Czech Pils that I've had in Eastern Europe, but still quite tasty. Large foamy head settle slowly. Nice spicy aroma with a bit o hops. Good body and finish.

This beer pours a very clear bronze with a sizeable head. The aroma is very bready, with sweet biscuity malts dominating, as well as some fruitiness, dried mango, dried apricot, and sweet potato. The flavor begins with the sweet biscuity malts, light caramel and then some vague fruitiness and and floral finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a solid malt base. Overall this is a pretty damn delicious pilsner - rather more malt forward than I am used to, but it makes it work. The malts are sweet, but never in an unbalanced way. And it looks truly gorgeous.
