This Witbier pours to a large, creamy white head on a pale-straw-colored, effervescent body that shows the very slightest bit of hazing- this beer is a hairwidth away from being completely clear. Head retention is slight and lacing is scant, consisting of odd, angular bat-like swoops. The nose is light, and leads with a cookie-dough-like malt that quickly transitions to a blend of lemon and tart cola, with a more subtle wheat character and a slight yeast presence. The palate is a slight, tartish citrus flavor with hints of estery spice and yeast over a very slightly caramelish, clean wheat foundation. The finish is quite clean, with just a bit of caramel and citrus showing; the linger is a mild wheat malt flavor that lasts for a minute or so. Mouthfeel is biggish for the very light body, and the texture is medium-creamy, slick and quite peppery from the overaggressive carbonation. (12 oz can, 100 days after pkg)

One of the best witbiers I've ever had.

The look was typical for the style. The addition of citrus zest came through in the aroma but was not overpowering. There were notes of several different citrus fruits on the taste with the addition of coriander. Mouth feel was not too thin or lingering; it was pretty much perfect.

overall it's a great example of what a witbier should be.

Look: It pours pale straw with a white head that produces Belgian lace.

Smell: It has a wheat aroma with light sweet fruity esters. There are also very light aromas from spices.

Taste: There are flavors of wheat, fruity esters, some spice, There is a very light sourness to it as well.

Feel: It has medium light feel to it with plenty of carbonation. It has a somewhat dry finish.

Overall: This is a somewhat fruit and wheat flavors beer that has somewhat spicy flavors.

A nice cloudy, pale gold beer with a white head. This thing smells like lemons, coriander and yeast. The taste is coriander, pepper, yeast and a nice tartness. Really solid and tasty wit.
