Poured into a Ora Et Labora taster.
A: The body is pitch black, the head is beige to light brown. Good retention for a 10% ABV beer. Minor lacing.
S: The aroma is stronger on roasted barley and then it has a medium profile of chocolate. At the end of it, alcohol is already present.
T: The taste begins with a toffee flavour with a dark berry-like profile, turning itself in a bitter hint of coffee with dark chocolate that is a bit harsh. It's not very well balanced in my opinion because there's no big connection between the beginning and the end of the sip and alcohol is waay too present here.
M: Body is medium. Carbonation is high. Alcohol is harsh and heavy on the end of the sip. Bitterness is mild although not very pleasent, as it is more burnt than it is coffee-like bitterness.
O: Not impressed, the alcohol is too prominent here.
