Ever-so-slightly hazy auburn with leggy white film. 3.75
Tangerine segments, mashed peaches, but maybe a touch of dark honey. 3.75
Blonde toffee thread, tart mango, concentrated OJ, apricot puree, cantaloupe +
pineapple cubes. Pine as it opens + yeast pours. 4.25
Long fruity linger - sugared grapefruit, lychee, lime sorbet.
Light+, oily, smooth. 4
“Vermont Cryo IPA” - Mosaic, Simcoe, Zeus, Citra Cryo, Simcoe Cryo; Wheat; S-04
Cyro means packing in the hops, and New England does that anyway, so this should be a double doozy. It don’t start off that way, though - a bit prim on the nose, big sticky juice not in evidence, and not super creamy (or hazy, if we’re ticking boxes.) And yet… it’s all there - tropical, citrus, orchard - in sneaky layers that shift + unfold as you go. And this, with a BBD (23/12/2017 in July) that suggests it should be dead + buried, (when there’s just a touch of oxidation.)
A grower. 4
