Checked it out since they advertise in Ale Street News. Selection was typical for the "more than macros" type store. Magic Hat, Victory, Harpoon, Brooklyn, etc. Some imports, but not anything special. Not bad if you're in the immediate area, but don't make a special trip. Overall, better off at Home Liquors a couple miles up the road.

Selection has expanded. A lot of good domestics, some good imports, included a couple less common ones. Good thing: a display featuring "New Jersey Beers". Bad thing: displayed featured River Horse, Cricket Hill, and Flying Fish, but not Heavyweight, Ramstein, and Climax.

Owner might want the young help to have a few less friends hanging around, though.

Not a road trip destination, but a good local.

****New Edit****

Paid a recent visit to this place. Boy has it declined. Lots of dust all over the beers. Even spotted some Sierra Nevada Summerfest- its January! Looks like they ordered way too much beer in the begining and have not followed through since. Very dissapointing.

Being that I live so close to this place, I frequent the store quite a bit. The beer is located on the left side of the store when you walk in. To me, this place just gets BETTER AND BETTER. The service will not impress you (it is basically non existant) but the selection certainly does.

A small list of what I have seen in this place as of late:
Green Flash Brewing- IPA
Arcadia- HopMouth Double IPA
Blue Point- Hoptical illusion
Southern Tier- Imperial IPA
Lagunitas
DFH- Raison D'extra
Heavy Seas
Great Divide- YETI and hercules DIPA
Weyerbacher- Insanity, Old Heathen, Blithering Idiot, Hops Infusion
Victory- HOP WOLLOP...yummm

I usually always find something here theat I want to pick up. This place is getting better and better.

Conveniently located near Routes 80, 95, and River Street in Hackensack.

I was pleasantly surprised at the offerings here. First time customer, I was fortunate to meet and talk with Nick Kumar, the owner and workoholic beer guy. His new business cards proclaim "best selection of microbrews & imports in Bergen County", and from what I see it just might be true.

The entire left wall of this place is dedicated to craft beer. I saw brews today that I have never seen around here... ever. Weyerbacher's Decadence sitting atop a bourbon barrel. Piraat. Terrific local representation from Victory (first time I've ever seen their lager and weiss), Heavyweight, DFH, Troeg's, Lancaster, TONS of Weyerbacher everything. They even let you make a 6-pack, and we all know how important and wonderful that is.

Not the lowest prices in town, but the selection makes this place well worth the visit. See Nick, he practically lives there. Much love for Frontier, will return again for sure.

Stopped in here, after getting lost trying to find Andy's corner bar...note, they are only about 10 mins from each.... anyway this place is yoiur typical good sized bevvy in a typical shopping mall area, its just behind the Taco bell, get the picture? I was suprized by the moderatly good selection to be found here, not amazing but decent. You will find tasty, local and imported high quality brew in this establishment. The guy behind the register was a dope, but hey he did try to give me some useful information. I picked up a couple of bottles of Allagash grand Cru, got some more directions and went over to Andy's...

It's located in the end of a large strip mall on River Road not far from the Little Ferry circle on Rte 46. I'm not sure it's the next frontier but there's hope. It's your standard liquor store and at first I don't see any beer except what's in the coolers in the back and there isn't too much of it but I slink around, all suspiciouslike, and find about a half aisle of beer on the end. At first glance it doesn't look like much but there's sustanance here. They've got the best representation of New Jersey breweries that I can remember seeing. Flying Fish, Heavyweight, Cricket Hill, Ramstein (classic and Winter Wheat), and at least 8 varieties of Riverhorse beers (they're just missing Climax). They also carry the standard regionals (4 different beer from Yards, Troegs, Weyerbacher, Victory, Stoudts, Brooklyn, and 7 beers from Dogfish Head). Yes, they have a good variety of Winter beers and holiday samplers, not a bad thing (At least not a bad thing during the Winter months).
Listen, I have reservations about mentioning this to you because I know what a little selfish beer hoarding bastard you are, but they do have one cubic shitload of Dogfish Head 90 MInute IPA in 750's.
Just leave me a couple, will 'ya?
