Hmmmm. Have never reviewed... however, being 'fresh' at my local BWS made me decide to pay the $14 for a 500ml can.
Looks great really really red.
Smell... not much really, and in a Speiglau IPA glass.
Taste? Solid malt yes, hops no. Struggle to find any palate lift.
All good, medium bodied.
Well, I didn't get $14 worth, did I? - a real let down and I suspect it will go stale at your local BWS at this price and be pulled quickly

Deep, dark, red amber with a little cloudiness, lots of small rising bubbles, and topped with 3 fingers of beige head. It leaves a thick, nice lacing.

Smells of coffee, pine, fruit punch, raspberries, aspirin, and slightly medicinal herb like. Hemp leaves, perhaps, not really familiar with that. Oranges as well.

Amazing taste! Very fruity and slightly herbal, with a pine resinous taste on the finish. Floral, oranges and black tea. Really complex taste that is cohesive, so much so its like its own re-invented flavor.

Medium, slightly syrupy body, with medium low foamy carbonation, and a tannic finish.

Got this one in Perth, I'm drinking it at home in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Really loving this one, recommended to me by a bottle shop attendant. Again, so cohesive and smooth textured that its like its own creature. Must be tried if you can get your hands on it! Drinking it Sept 4th, 2017.

Very clear reddish copper color, topped by a tan foam. Smells of orange rind and tropical fruit. Tangy taste of orange skin, brown sugar, and tropical fruit. Loaded with Mosaic and Galaxy hops, it is a very well balanced beer.

This is a solid red ipa. Had great scent and taste and can compete with west coast hopped up reds. The beer poured a clear amber with white head that laced nicely. The Mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall this was the best beer of the night.

I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed Modus Operandi - I know I’ve had this Red IPA once before and loved it, but then again I don’t review every beer I try, especially when I’m out with friends (I don’t want to be that person who spends more time nose deep in their phone than catching up with mates). Anyway this time I had a window of oppurrtunity [something cat related] at Ye-Now-Olde Archive in Brisbane and I was determined to give Modus Operandi a good going over - with my tongue [nope, bad imagery]... how about - with my (taste)buds! [better, still needs work though].

Poured from tap into a Schooner glass (aka 425ml Australian pub glass).

A: Presents a clear deep copper/ruby body with a thin cream coloured lacing on top. Great, I love the look of a good red ale, especially when it comes “red” as advertised. Nice work MO! 9/10.

S: Prominent floral/citric/herbal hop characters, upfront and all over the aroma - you can tell straight away this one is going to pack a punch! In the background lingers notes of toasty malts, an earthy mid-palate, and hints of ground peppercorns... yes please - I will ‘ave at it. 9/10.

T: ALRIGHT. All of the above noted characters with an added hint of lychee. The balance is BIG sweet cara-malts with equally BIG floral/citric/herbal bitter/aromatic hops. Complexity: Check. Flavour: Check. Balance: Check. This brew demands your undivided attention (or first born child - pay heed - it doesn’t care which one it gets) and I commend its gutsy no nonsense approach. 9/10.

M: Medium bodied with a thin but nonetheless creamy carbonation... could do with a bit more body/chewiness for a 7.8% ABV brew - it’s a minor imperfection on an otherwise awesome Red IPA. 7/10.

D: What a beer! If I could brew as good as Modus Operandi did with Former Tenant I would be set (my latest homebrew batch is a disaster - never cut corners people!). The only other problem: I’m the designated driver tonight :-/ If you’ve been following me on BeerAdvocate or on my blog you’ll know that my tastes do gravitate to bold flavoured brews and this one is damn good - get it. Now... hypnotoad commands it. 9/10.

Food match: Chargrilled BBQ meats, beef steaks, spare ribs and chilli sauce in a big bowl, oh yes.

Squealer purchased from the brewery.

Pours a bright, yet dark, red colour. Off-white head, tiny bubbles, dissipates gradually. Lace is speckly. Looks nice but I suspect I'm not very good at pouring from squealers.

Smells like hop pellets. Huge citrus and grassy aroma, with some pine wood, maybe a touch of passionfruit. Yeah, citric and grassy mainly. Impressive aroma, could use a bit more malt to balance though.

Taste is again, hugely hoppy. Maybe a touch of caramel malt with a hint of popcorn. Hops come through early. Massive lemon citrus notes, grapefruit and a touch of tangerine, gets slightly resinous with a touch of pine wood and leather to join the tangy, hoppy mix. Finishes cleanly, which is big props to the brewer here. So easy to lose yourself in those hops: they're huge, but not all-engulfing.

Decent body, I think the malt presence is mostly body rather than flavour. IT's a big part of this big hop bomb being so palatable.

Hop bomb. It will be loved. It's flavoursome, but not too huge. I don't need to say much here.

Squealer purchased from the brewery by my brother Sam at their opening night.

Pours a lovely amber-red colour, clear and burnished, with a very fine and fairly persistent head of off-white that sits in a fine crest atop the glass. Lacing forms in pleasant streaks. Body has a bit of heft to it, and holds fine carbonation well.

Lovely hop aromas on the nose: big, fresh and bright, with an underlying weight to the malt which gives it a little oomph. Together there's a lovely savoury tone to the whole thing: it's bright, but balanced and the malt and grain make a really lovely counterpoint to the bright, sharp hop characters. Love it.

Taste is also very good. Here the malt is more pronounced (as it should be?), giving a fullness and richness to the palate that allows the hops to seem very mellow by comparison. Here, they layer a zestiness that's really quite smooth and light, light lemon creme or lemon meringue pie with a touch of pepper towards the back. The smoothness to the palate is really what sets this apart—it's really quite gorgeous stuff.

Feel is clean but very smooth—perfectly weighted as it should be.

Overall, this is a stunningly good beer, especially from a new brewery. This is lovely, lovely stuff—probably one of the best red ales out of Australia right now, and there's some fairly stiff competition for that crown.
