The foot soldiers of the Infantry belong to the oldest and proudest branch of the army, their boots “always ready, then, now and forever.” Our Ground Pounder Pale Ale honors those that have worn out their soles preserving the freedoms we cherish.
This medium-bodied pale ale carries a solid balance of caramel malt, spice and citrus notes with bold, piney hop characteristics that deliver an herbal infusion of lime and crushed black pepper.

I was completely surprised by this beer. Reminded me a lot of Belgian Pale Ales I've had in Europe. I usually don't like low ABV beers, but this is one of my top beers of all time!
Great amber color. Initial head overflowed the glass. I had to leave a little to refill with.
Smell and taste were amazing. Lots of yeasty breads and malts.
Mouthfeel was very full, making this a borderline summertime drinker...but excellent nonetheless.
Grab a six pack of this beauty if you see it on the shelf.

Had poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped "PKGDON: AUG1820," and "BESTBY: FEB1821," into nonic pint.
Looks the part, medium gold with clarity and a lasting creamy head which etches the glass with lace, smells the part, with fruity apple and lime, clean grass and mild caramel malt in the aroma, and tastes the part, with a nice carbonation supporting sweet apple and lime, and mild caramel malt, before a biting hoppy finish. A classic APA, with a twist of lime.

Not as piney as expected. Very smooth and refreshing without bitterness. Good beer on tap.

Pours a toasted straw color with a small dense off white head that settles into a light cap.
The aroma is of a bready malt, some honey and a light piney malt.
The taste is of a bready malt. Some light honey and caramel. The hops are minimal, perhaps a touch grassy. Light fruitiness from the yeast.
The feel is moderate with fizzy carbonation. Sweet on the palate, slightly bitter in the finish.
A malt driven APA. Decent when drank cold.

I'm trying this at the house my Bestie rented on Hilton head island. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had hints of bitter hop. The taste was nicely balanced and easy. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.
