Slightly hazy orange color with off-white head. Aroma has really sweet, fruity hops and a clean malt profile. Taste starts hoppy and slightly sweet with orange, grapefruit and pine resin. Finish has just a light bitterness, really easy to drink. Medium body and carbonation. Really well made, straight forward pale ale.

Pours an unclear orange with thick, soapy head.
Smell is very citrusy with a bit of pine. Very crisp.
Taste is very balanced, with the pine and citrus playing well with the soft bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a terrificly drinkable pale ale, well balanced and tasty.

A collaboration with progressive metal band Opeth, for their album "pale communion" (hence this is "communion pale ale"). It's pricey and I was a bit sceptical, seeing as it's a canned beer. It's a slightly milky, non-opaque, very bright amber-coloured pale ale. There's a smooth - but rich, slightly hoppy - mix of citrus, sweet, sharp and malty notes that go together very well indeed. 5.1% ABV and so well balanced it doesn't have the usual craft beer problem of being too acid or filling. Seems easy to digest too (in case this is a problem for you). Very drinkable and actually quite summery - a well composed beer, with a great balance between complexity and drinkability. Well done Mr. Akerfelt.
