End of best by date. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma pops with bright citrus fruits and wildflower honey. Some tea-like hops in the background. I don't really get any yeast/brett character. Taste starts sweet with honey and malt, some brett character, finishes quite bitter and hoppy with floral notes. Body is quite smooth and well carbonated. Not really what I expected from a brett beer. It had a lot of time to dry out but it didn't, it's actually quite sweet at first until the hops kick in. Maybe it was just fermented with brett but not bottle conditioned. Anyway, overall it's a nice beer with interesting flavors.

Nice brazilian IPA. It's light but tasty, it has notes of passion fruit and bamboo, citric character is in background.
IBU is not very high either, and color is of a light ocher with a big and nice foam.

When the nomadic Evil Twin brewers come to town, you know something exciting is about to happen. And when they hit Brazil, hops, sour and earth happens.

The collaborative and tightly woven IPA is sliced and diced with wild yeast for a taste that's familiar to IPA lovers and curious to them as well as a spicy, dry and earthen quality overtakes the senses. Aromas are filled with rose, citrus, melon, pungency, grass and pine. Lightly caramelized and nutty sweetness greets the nose as a bronzy gold hue and persistent clinging froth rounds out the introductions.

Yet the beer has more to offer as its flavors brighten and individualize on the palate. Lime, lemon, orange and juniper carry a citrus and juicy berry tone while an accompaniment of bitter grasses and pine shore things up. Trailing gin flavors trend dry and winey with a sharp bite of astringency and bitterness playing out with hints of melon rind and rose singing a delicate song in the backdrop.

Dry, frothy, and with a creamy bite- the ale's remarkable drinkability, crispness and refreshing character is framed by an earthy straw finish and a herbacious grassy tone that hints toward lemongrass and sage.

Zize was nice enough to bring me a bottle to the states. Muito obrigado! Out of a stubby 310 ml bottle, on to the beer:

An unfiltered blonde colored beer topped with a foamy, creamy head rests on top. Head retention is very good. The aroma is interesting, although I didn't smell any obvious notes of hops. Instead, it was a roller coaster of leather, smoke, and peppers.

As the first Brazilian beer which I've tasted that was fermented with brettanomyces, it's clear that the scene continues to push its bounderies (with the help of Evil Twin in this case). To say the least, Lost In Translation is fun to drink. With notes including leather, peppers, lemon peel, and soap, this comes out more like a saison. It's a medium bodied beer that is incredibly smooth and creamy, and with little doubt a joy to drink.

Where are the hops? Who cares! I'll have no qualms drinking another bottle in the future.
