750ml bottle.
Black colored body. Each pour brings up substantial toffee colored, fine bubble head. Only a few small spots of lacing are left behind.
Aroma of dark roasted chocolate malt, oak whiskey barrel and vanilla.
Taste is dark roasted malt, chocolate, rye spice, oak whiskey barrel, vanilla, black licorice, and dark fruit. Drinks quite dry.
Slightly more than medium mouth feel. Very good carbonation.
Has held up well with years in the bottle, and still expresses a dry and spicy brew.

Picked up probably the last bottle in the wild a few months back at…well, a store I won’t go back to. 750ML bottle split with my wife.
The pour is tight black sweater black with an awful persistent head for a big stout. Bit of chocolate, light dark grains, but the nose is hard to find.
FSB - 2015 was slow-rolled over a campfire. Toasted grains complement a whole lot of roast that rolls right off the table into a sharp, bean-inflected bitterness. Mid-palate welcomes sweet chocolate, distant glimpse of a whiskey barrel, ending in a slick, throat-coating malt sweetness. Easy-drinking & completely belies the double digit ABV.
A pretty standard stout, the barrel here is so light it’s lost in the aggressive roast. Pretty good brew.

Thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml capped bottle into a Surly teku. Shared with schen9303.
Coffee, vanilla, chocolate and cocoa powder. Heavy and the coffee and roast. Quite aromatic. Opens chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Vanilla and lactose in the middle with a spicy, boozy finish. A bit coarse. The flavors are all there but they don't integrate as well as I'd like. Medium bodied and way too carbonated. Prickly and aggressive on the mouth with bubbles on the palate and sparkling going down. Ok but again, too carbonated.
This one's ok. I'm a fan of the chocolate, coffee and roasted malt but the barrel aging takes away from this one and actually seems to lighten the body.

Review from notes. Had on tap at the brewery back when bottles were first released.
Pour is a dark, dark brown; bordering on black. One finger thick tan head.
Aroma is chocolate, oak, roasted coffee.
Taste is primarily chocolate and roastiness, complimented by bitter coffee. Rye whiskey character is weak, but present
Fairly full bodied, surprising dry finish for a big stout.
Overall, a solid local BA Stout. Happy I got a couple bottles of this one.

Appearance is as expected. Smell was a nice roast with a hint of rye. The flavor was interesting. Someone implied a saison yeast which seemed to make sense. But did not add to what I enjoy in imperial stouts. Worth trying and not unpleasant.

Pours a Dark Mohgany color with a mocha head a nice fresh collar stays with this brew, slight wine with roasted malts chocolate some dark fruit cocoa nib, spices and rye whiskey, taste follows the nose nice cocoa/malt/chocolate on the front end spices and a touch white wine , rye whiskey notes ever present in the finish, nicely carbonated with a good BA presence, a dry finish most likely from the yeast, This RIS is very good

On tap.
Tan head with lace. Black in color.
Roasted with lots of chocolate. Some vanilla. More oaky but the rye shows just a bit in the finish. Molasses and dark fruits. Coffee notes.
Full bodied. Ends a little dry and roasted.
Solid offering. Much better than the 2014 imperial smoked stout.
