Dark hazy, orange color.
Good sized head was very foamy head and lace.
Aroma of grapes and fruit.
Taste starts off sweet & fruity with a quick, well carbonated spice kick.
Was that nutmeg ?
then a mild, but noticeable alcohol burn.
It is really a very good warmer. Balance is good and it seems the company wants to capture attention with the ABV.
( this review was written over a decade ago when it was not as common to see such high gravity beers.)
The beer is good and has a decent feel, though it can be syrupy and when warm the mouth feel is not as good,
In the end, it was just too sweet for me.

Bottle from MrBarleywine, thanks again Mike.
Aged bottle opens without fanfare and pours still with some chunks at the bottom. Hazy tawny brown color. Caramel raisin and faint alcohol. Medium to thin body no carb with a sticky watery mouthfeel. Not sure how old this is but its aged fairly well, some bubbles would have helped though.

250 ml bottle, named "Belzebuth Pur Malt Extra Forte", ABV was 13%. In Nice, France. Deep golden colour, low head. Malty sweet and alcoholic aroma, notes of molasses. Flavour is sweet and alcoholic, but the beer is not undrinkable.

From notes 6/24/12: Pours a clear coppery amber with low carbonation for the style producing only 1.5 fingers of soapy, short-lived, beige (with a grayish hue) head that leaves pasty lacing on the sides of the glass. Aroma is honeyish caramel, heady spoiled white fruit notes in an alcohol background. Taste is a slight improvement being notes of perhaps pale and lightly roasted malts: honey, caramel, dark plum, raisin, apple, maybe grape and cherry with an oily nut flavor not unlike the aftertaste of peanut butter swimming in a cotton candy sweetness and ALCOHOL. The 13% ABV is prominent and aggressive especially in the mouth. Without knowing the ABV I would have guessed it to be significantly higher. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation; a little syrupy with mouth numbing alcohol warmth. Not an easy drinker; not even a pleasant sipper to my palate.

Pours a murky ice tea brown color with a small ivory cap that falls away immediately but leaves decent legs when swirled. Aroma is caramel and honey. Flavor is very sweet (think of booze soaked baklava) with the honey being joined by almonds. Feel is medium to thick bodied with low carbonation. Overall a decent boozy brew.

This is one boozy beer! Super sweet and quite viscous, just the way I like my strong Belgians. Hops are very faint and there are a lot of sugary aromas and aftertastes

Alcohol naturally comes through in the taste. Decent flavor hides under the alcohol burn, but the 13% ABV is the most evident thing here. Still drinkable though....
