A nut and apple aroma, taste was slightly similar. This just wasn't that impressive,I didn't even finish it. It just didn't come together and wasn't impressive in any category

Poured into a lager glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt dark amber close to brown color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated immediately. Some light stringy lacing glosses along the sides of the glass. The aroma starts off with a sweet bready to red delicious apples blending upon subtle tones of cocoa powder. The flavor embraces the bready sweet malts initially and then brings about the apples and cocoa. Nice semi-sticky bready sweet aftertaste yielding to a refined sliding finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low carbonation. Clean lager smoothness rolls over my tongue. Overall, an absolutely wonderful Munich Dunkel lager that I would love to have again, preferably with its food.

330 ml bottle. Not much aroma to speak of. Dark brown with a nice head, which dissipates half way through the glass. Flavor is boring. Very unimpressed.

This beer pours a clearish deep amber brown color with a huge, frothy off white head. Retention is excellent, but there is barely any lacing to speak of.

Smell is very plain and one dimensional. There is a nuttiness and toasted grain and that's about it. You really have to agitate the beer to get anything more than a hint of aroma.

Taste is the same. Nutty, a touch of sweetness and toasted malts. Really unspectacular.

Feel is the worst part of this beer. It is so under carbonated that it feels like I'm drinking flavored water.

Overall this beer is not good. At first I thought it was old or expired, but the best by date is December 2017 and right now it's only June. Unenjoyable to say the least.

As a coffee nut I still find this overly bitter....it's like roasterie coffee...you can taste many good flavors but they are coated by a burnt feel and taste.

Served to me in a pint glass on-tap, this beer draws a clear, light to medium Amber/brown color with a slightly off-white head that settles to just about nothing a few minutes after being poured. No trace of foam or lacing. Aromas of toasted, bready, caramel malt sweetness and not much else and that's just fine. Taste is pretty much the same, with toasted, bready caramel malt sweetness with just a slight touch of hops. Pretty spot on for this style. Has a crisp, yet smooth, also frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a very clean finish. Easy to drink in a good way.

Pours clear light brown with a small off white head. Smells of malt, some chocolate, and fruit. Tastes of malt, caramel, light fruit, and nuttiness. Light mouthfeel with med-low carbonation. Overall its good just nothing worth buying again.

This beer has a dull dark color with a strong coffee smell. It tastes smooth with dark coffee aroma, it does't taste too bitter with a slight sweetness, which is what I like the best. There is no or low hop in it, which makes it no bad.

Look: brown, flat

Smell: coffee, cocoa, nutty

Taste: thin, bitter, similar to black coffee

I am not a huge fan of dark beers (or coffee). this beer was too bitter for me.

This beer reminds me of Guinness. It has a dark color, coffee and sweet smell, and light coffee taste.

First had at Middendorf's, Manchac, La., poured from 11.2-oz. bottle, label stamped best before "06.OCT.17," into (unfortunately) frosted mug. A decent dark lager, which stands up well to turtle soup.
