Poured from an 11.2 ounce bottle into a cervoise.

Appearance: Dark dark ruby red/brown. Similar to a coke or pepsi. Very light tan head that disappears fairly quickly. Kinda hard to rate because I've never had a beer quite like this.

Smell: Funky soda smell. It smells like a soda that went flat and had a shot of booze dumped into it. Doesn't smell nice.

Taste: Tastes much like it smells.

This is one odd beer and it's been a treat to be able to review it even though I'd probably never advise anyone to try this.

Pours a deep red, with no head and thick but short-lasting lacing.

Smell is cola. Like a can of Coke.

Taste is like a can of Coke. Not too bad actually.

Mouthfeel is carbonated, and right on.

Drinkability is odd. I feel guilty drinking such a pop-like beer.

Overall, different and good for kids to get kind of drunk on.

this is very good for a soda...but is it a beer?

This is one to avoid. It showed up at a tasting as a joke. A beer that was left behind at a party. It pours out cola-brown with a small, very fizzy head that did not last long. It smelled of black licorice and cola. Tasted like a Shasta with a touch of booze. It was fairly crisp - like a cola and very light bodied. I'll say one thing for this beer, it is appropriately named because it tastes like a cola.

Thanks to my bitch of a wife, who when asked to order me something, ordered me this. As a joke. It was presented in a 16oz Bells pint glass. The beer poured a cola brown woith a fizzy white head that disapeared as quick as I could pour it. It left no lacing. The aroma was of diet Coke and asperteme. Noit even real sugar, fake sugar. The flavor is flat diet Coke. Not bad, but really it didn't taste like beer. The moutfeel is strangly dry. I didn't see that one coming. This is a alright soda that has no semblance of a beer. Stay away unless you want a slightly alcoholic pop.

This is probably the best of the 3 versions. I say that because the cola version seems more natural than the others. I actually like the taste of cola but not with my beer so that kinda flops on this one for me. The whole idea of this and the other 2 are still and will always be a mystery to me. These are unforgetable to me simly because they're so different than anything else out there. However I'll never willingly drink these ever again.

Reviewed without notes during the tasting. I had to sit down at the computer & get this off fresh.

11.2 oz beach glass green bottle. A sample provided by a salesman several months ago. Best by date of 05 Feb.09. We're just under the wire here.

6 oz. tasting glass poured to the brim without a head. No apparent lacing with the appearance of a warm, flat, off brand cola.

Smells like warm, flat cola. A little soapy.

Taste..where to begin? Not so good. The presence of 2.9% alcohol classifies this as almost beer. That is THE only possible connection to beer.
Soapy, medicinal with an annoying bitter aftertaste. Sweet, flat, artificial cola. There's a disturbing essence of cheap deodorant ON this beer.

This isn't getting any better. As this beverage warms it gets worse. Ice cold would be hard to swallow...this isn't good.

With little regret, I'm pouring this one down the toilet. Piss on it. This is NOT beer. Avoid it. Disgusting.

Deep red color with a decent but short lasting tan head that actually produced a bit of lace before disappearing complely.

The aroma is cola with hints of lemon.

The taste is also cola with an even more pronounced lemon-lime background than the aroma.

The 60% lager that's supposed to be there isn't evident except as a dilution of the cola. A bit different, but oddly refreshing. Light beer with caffeine? If you like cola, you may appreciate this on a hot day.
