12 oz can dated 11/22/19, purchased in Huntsville, AL at one of their two actual beer stores in town.
Parish Teku.
Deep dark inky black with chocolate hues and a tall creamy beige head of 3 fingers, destroying the glass with lacing.
Aroma of tin and roasted malts, followed by marshmallow hot chocolate (fudge and cocoa powder and marshmallows) with cinnamon added.
Flavor is tinny and unexciting. Aluminum, blood, copper, marshmallow, cocoa powder, and hints of fig or molasses. After taste is better than the taste itself.
Feel is crisp and creamy with a big alcohol burn for what is apparently a lower alcohol beer. Medium bodied. Some dryness and alcohol nip on the finish.
Overall kind of a let down, glad I bought a single only. Wouldn't revisit.
Price paid : $1.89 / can
Would buy again : no

I bought a six pack of this from a beer store in central Florence. It poured an opaque dark with off white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hints of spice. The taste was evenly balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was ok.

OK, I ❤️ Porters, but this one is totally different. Outstanding job Second Self Brewers My wife who does not like dark beers loved it. My friend who does not like ports gave an authentic “excellent” porter!
