The Devil Anse IPA is a medium bodied American style India Pale Ale. Featuring a blend of Australian and Pacific Northwest hops; lending to a balanced bitterness of citrus and tropical fruit characteristics. The complex hop flavors are balanced by a blend of malts; including American 2-Row, American Pilsner, and British floor malted barley. At 6.9% abv and 65 IBU’s, no feuding is necessary when you enjoy this refreshingly smooth IPA.

HOPS: Amarillo, Galaxy, Simcoe
MALTS: American 2-Row, American Pilsner, British Crystal Malt

12oz can, wine glass, looks like canned 1/30/23.

Unfiltered, but not intentionally hazy, light copper color and a two finger head off a hard pour.

Orange slices, grapefruit pith, light pine.

The flavors are more of the same with an uptick in the intensity overall and the pine in particular. There’s a soft malt background and moderately bitter finish. It hides the ABV well and flavor and bitterness are well balanced.

The body is a bit light and the carbonation a little high in relation.

Middle of the road American IPA that is just that and not a sub-style.

Lightly cloudy golden amber body; light carbonation; nice white head, fluffy and sticky with a touch of rocky character. Appealing nose; mild sweetness and bready malt components with a decent dosage of pine resin; white pepper. Well-balanced taste; lightly sweet grain base with a fairly bold hop bitterness; a slight herbal and spicy note. Medium body; sticky.

A nicely crafted non-hazy India pale ale. It may not have a real 'wow' factor, but it's balanced and tasty while masking the relatively high ABV. Good stuff.

12oz can. Stamped on can bottom is '10/10/22 BRING BEER'.
Mostly clear, with some cloudiness in the upper portion of the glass. Pale gold colored body. One finger of white fluffy head. Leaves rings of lacing on the non-drinking side of the glass.
Aroma has a toasted malt base, with hops expressing more pine than citrus or tropical fruits.
Taste has an old school bitterness, with pine as the main flavor. Good malt base. some vague citrus mid to late palate. Mostly pine in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel, with a drying effect in the mouth. Very good carbonation.
An IPA that is far away from the trendy soft, fruity, sweet beers offered by so many. This beer fits the trend from years ago but is a pleasant reminder of what once was popular.

Canned on 5-11-22

Been trying to find a WV beer to get the tick and since the top 100 list on BA only has 30 beers it seems they don't make a lot.

Pours a goldenrod color with a little haze. Fluffy white head recedes quickly leaving adequate lacing.

Smell of sweet malt with some citrus reminiscent of candied fruit.

Taste opens with sweet, sticky malt followed by more malt with a hint of generic fruit briefly in the middle followed by overpowering and abrasive bitterness that stays for a while.

Medium bodied with a sticky malt syrup attribute.

Overall a fair to mediocre beer that isn't worth trying unless you need a WV tick.

This one pours a golden amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like very malty, with an astringent and perfumey hop character.

This is very underwhelming. It's just bitter and malty, without any real interesting hop character to speak of. It feels outdated and out of place in this day and age.

This is light bodied, mostly crisp, and drinkable enough, even though it's not really an enjoyable affair.

This one can be safely and completely skipped.
