Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the "Irish Pub" in Lewisburg, WV. This beer is a cloudy golden color with a small white head. The aroma is full of fruit, hops and bread. The flavor is also really good, it has a citrus and hop flavor. Overall, a very nice beer that everyone should try if you can find it.

On tap 12oz Shaker pint

A: Murky golden yellow slightly better clarity as it warmed white small tight head that dissipated to film.

S: Peaches, grapefruit and tangerines with a lot of bready dough smell on the end

T: Great citrus taste not as vibrant as the nose but still quite good, with the orange tangerine taste very juicy in that regard. Decent maltiness on the end.

M: Middle of the road mouthfeel pretty decent carbonation slightly sticky on the tongue

O: Very good beer from a completely under heard of source. Had to keep asking the sever what the brewery was they kept saying Hatfield McCoy so it was hard to find in the database. Great surprise though very juicy citrus beer with a nice malty finish.

Clear auburn (9) draft pour with off-white head; great clarity; lasting cap and heavy lacing. Hoppy grapefruit nose. Lemon grass and lite bitter flavor up front; caramel malt supporting citrus hop finish. Moderate plus carbonation and medium lite mouthfeel. Overall a nicely balanced caramel malt IPA with citrus hop linger

Had on tap while visiting WV. While I was not expecting much, this really surprised me. Great juicy hop flavor with a slight bitterness at the end, along with a nice malt backbone which balances well with the hop flavors. Very good!

A: Pours a hazy to murky deep copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate amber + golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a four finger tall dense sudsy foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a medium sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/white grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit rind, and floral hops over the top of moderate aromas of toasted, bready, and caramel malts with moderate sweetness.

T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of bready, toasted, and caramel malts with moderate amounts of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/white grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit rind, and floral hops which contribute a moderate amount of bitterness which lingers for a moderate amount of time.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp initially with a slight amount of stickiness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink and enjoyable - more of an old school IPA rather than these new school juicy IPAs. Really nice hop flavors + aromas with a solid, albeit slightly sweet malt backbone. Alcohol is well hidden.

Very clear amber in color. Nice, thin white head. Smell is thick of hops. The taste is not nearly as hoppy as I expected after the smell. Little to no after taste or bitterness. Good stuff.

16oz draft in a nonic pint

It is a a cloudy yellow-gold color with a moderate white head.

Aroma is not very strong, but it smells like orange, and passion fruit with a decent amount of sweet malts.

A lot of juicy flavor. Orange/tangerine, a Starburst like pink candy/passion fruit, peach, and some floral/piney hops. Some bitterness creeps in late. Solid malt base that adds some body.

This is a nice ipa that has a bit of an east coast body without the yeast.

With some of the most coveted hops on earth, a part caramel and part bread backbone, and a focus on drinkability without the sacrifice of flavor, the Greenbrier Valley brewers give this hop dominant beer as much culinary art as it does refreshment.

Devil Anse leaps right out with a succulent and floral scent of tropical fruit, citrus fruit and light toasty and caramelized grain. Underneath, the pale golden amber beer is lightly translucent and crowns with a frothy white cap. Early flavors are supple and sweet with those promises of caramel, honeysuckle and cracker-like breadiness.

While the sweetness drifts, the toasty remnants of malt seem soft like cashew while the hop flavors begin to mount. Tangerine, red grapefruit, mango and apricot round into a juicy, radiant taste evoking thoughts of creamsicle. Finally, the bitterness arrives in a crisp flavor of citrus peel and freshly shaven pine.

Smooth, crisp and clean, the beer trends dry but remaining succulent. As the taste of orange outlasts all others, the beer trials with a smooth bitterness of fruit peel and fresh cut grasses- ideally suited for thai cuisine.

Several Greenbrier Valley Brewing Co. Brews along with other West Virginia beers at Kroger in Wheeling. This was a real surprise. Picked it up because I liked the artwork on the can. Truly an IPA that's comparable to many of the more highly renowned breweries. Beautiful balance of citrus hops and caramel malts with a dry finish. Lots of flavor including lemongrass, tangerine, pine resin and caramel. If you can find this beer...buy as much as you can if you love IPA'S.
