Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon near the end of a ski vacation. It was pretty quiet, but the atmosphere was lively enough -- they are walking distance from the Montana State campus. The greeters were pretty inattentive until we specifically asked for a table, but our waitress was phenomenal -- knowledgeable about not only the beer selection, but about details beyond what was listed on the menu (I ended up getting two flights, because everything sounded so good). The beers themselves were, for the most part, excellent -- in a wide variety of styles. A virtual oasis in the beer wasteland that is Montana.

Don't listen to Google. We eventually found it. Big place attached to a Town & Country Market. Ski lodge look and feel. Big U-shaped bar and table and high tops. Food was available. About 8 taps. Decent overall. Attached market sells six packs only.

June 2018 - going on memory a bit, but a cool stop in Montana with a long bar and sets of tables. Short menu focused on pizzas, which were very good. Salads too. Nice selection of beers to choose from and plenty of to go options. Worth a visit.

had a great time here in this sportsbar/brewery right on campus there. its a big space, some upstairs seating too it looked like, but not an enormous brewery, they must be brewing fairly regulary to keep up. we sat at a long wrap around wooden bar and it took awhile to get served. they were busy but not packed, the service was really the least remarkable part of the experience. the beer was great, and far more adventurous and ambitious than most of the other breweries we visited in the area. i had a great coffee stout with locally roasted coffee, a cucumber melon cream ale, and a whiskey aged scotch ale, all were excellent. they had very few generic choices, and i dig that on a beer menu. we did not eat here, but the pizzas they were making looked really good. the space is big and sprawling, ski lodge meets college bar, mellow and casual, but bustling at the same time. if i was a student here, i would be in this place all the time crushing these coffee beers! really fun spot, quite a bit more lively than any of the other breweries we visited in the area. i assume the proximity to the college helps a lot with that. great times, very solid and interesting beers!

Excellent beer and pizza. Due to licensing laws they close early. My favorite beers were the Mad Mile Cream Ale, the coffee stout, and the Lee Metcalf Pale.

Nine different beers on tap brewed on site, and the two I had (IPA and a coffee stout) were very good. Bison pepperoni pizza was a hit as was the salad with bacon and feta. Large bar and plenty of restaurant seating. Fun vibe and attentive wait staff. Wish I could have sampled more of their beers. About one block from campus, so lots of college "kids". Ample parking.

Ok beer, good pizza. Very yuppy, stuffy atmosphere.

Great place to drink a beer with friends. Their own locally produced beer is great, you can always expect it to be consistent and when they have a special brew in you can expect it to be special.

I visit Bridger all the time, living less than a two-minute walk away.
The atmosphere is incredibly open -- the space is HUGE for a Montana taproom -- yet feels especially intimate as the place fills with MSU students and white-collar laborers gathering after a long day of work. There's not much decoration, but the clear view of the brewing equipment and exquisitely crafted wood beams are decorations in themselves (the bar itself is especially beautiful). The taproom's vastness can make the place feel uncomfortably empty on the occasion when there aren't many customers, but fortunately such an occasion is rare.
All on tap, Bridger beer ranges from just decent to downright excellent. The Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe (unfortunate name, I know) is their best offering at the moment, a delectable brown ale with smooth, velvety chocolate notes complemented by a throat-tingling chile kick. The Ghost Town Coffee Stout is also fantastic -- it's the beer equivalent of biting into a chocolate-covered espresso bean. The mainstays -- Vigilante IPA, Bobcat Brown, Bridger Blonde -- are adequate representations of their styles, but don't blow me away.
The pizza here is, quite frankly, the best pizza in Bozeman. The crust strikes the perfect balance between chewy and crunchy, and every bite of a Bridger pizza offers a sensational combination of flavors -- from savory pesto to spicy bison pepperoni -- that only such fresh and dynamic ingredients can offer. This is Montana soul food.
Overall, Bridger is a MUST-VISIT for those seeking an authentic Montana taproom experience, examples of well-crafted Montana craft beer, and the best pizza in Bozeman. I feel incredibly lucky to live next-door.
