A: Dark black body with two finger's worth of caramel colored head. No lacing on this beer but a higher than normal carbonation keeps the head strong while drinking.

S: Beer smells as a sour at first pour. Getting a strong smell of grapes and wine. After the beer warms I began to pick up chocolate and barrel smells.

T: First tastes are that of a sour. Grapes to start. The barrel and stout flavors came out later. The barrel flavors are there but not overpowering.

M: More carbonation that I imagined. The beer has a lighter feel. The boozy tastes have some lingering tastes too.

O: Beer starts out mimicking a sour with grapes and then turns to a stout. More carbonation than I have had in similar beers. Good interesting beer. Enjoyed the stout end more than the sour beginning.

Rich toasty earthy roasty brown sugar with big bourbon and vanilla notes. Filler words for length

Poured out as a very still looking black color, not much head or anything here... The smell of the beer is loaded with chocolate and bourbon notes, quite intense. The taste has the similar flavors as to what the smell was giving off with some dark sugar and vanilla in there too. The feel of the beer is pretty thick. Overall it's a solid brew, I wouldn't mind trying it again someday.

EBF sample pour. Clearly poured very dark. I found it to smell and taste quite up to snuff. The barrel character was not overly intense. A barrel aged stout you have probably experienced before but from another brewery. Honestly, it was a solid beer that may have gotten lost in the shuffle of a busy day of sampling.
