Pint can - no date - poured into a long stem tulip at 44F.

Pours a brilliant frosty hazed scarlet colour, topped with three fingers of soft pink foam. As the foam recedes, it becomes mottled with both white and pink, leaving pink lacing behind. Plenty of visible effervescence streams.

Nose: An interesting aroma. There's definitely that light gose malt base in the background, with the obligatory touch of salinity and minerality, but atop that, there is a definite fruit punch aroma. Almost like cherry anf strawberry gelatin dessert, or a powdered drink. That sort of artificial fruit punch aroma. It isn't terribly complex at all. It smells like what it's advertised as - a fruit punch gose.

Palate: Like the nose, the palate delivers exactly what is promised. It's a fruit punch gose in every sense of the word. What surprised me, is that there is actually quite a bit of gose that comes through. It isn't overpowered by the fruit punch aspect. The first sip reveals a pleasantly, almost surpringly salty zip, followed by a healthy streak of minerality. Perhaps a touch of coriander in there as well. The fruit punch flavour is there, but it's delightfully dry, lacking any and all possible sweetness. This really allows for the salty gose character to shine, without coming across as too artificial. It's like an essence of fruit punch. The fruit punch flavour quickly shifts, and for the duration of the experience, is a background note to the base gose. The finish ramps up the minerality and brings a final kick of salinity, before everything finishes in the cleanest, quietest way possible. The faintest aftertaste of dry fruit punch remains, and lingers on.

Mouthfeel/Body: The beer is light, airy, and incredibly crisp. Despite its ultralight body, the texture of the salinity, as well as the fine, lively, seltzer-like effervescence gives it a whole lot of texture, and the beer never even approaches the point of being watery or weak. Everything combined results in a beer that is absurdly refreshing and ridiculously drinkable.

Overall: This is definitely a new-age niche sort of beer. I have torn, opposing opinions when it comes to offerings like this. Personal opinions aside, I have to admit that this is definitely one of the better ones. They kept it quiet, reserved, and preserved the integrity of the base beer, which I find really helps it out. It may be a little unorthodox. It may be a little strange. It may be glowing with the crazy glow of Red 40 Lake dye... But it's an interesting, flavourful, and refreshing twist on a classic and underappreciated style of beer.

Thanks to rudzud
Pours a large pillowy fluffy pinkish head fades at a med pace tons of sticky lacing, bright neon pinkish-red color

Nose is a lot like fruit punch, like fake fruit punch, faint malt and tartness, but basically just kool-aid, nothing else, no beer, not drink, just Kool-aid, even has the watery essence like you didn't add enough of the fruit punch mix

OK, taste is better at least, starts with some gose, a little sour wheat base, lemony, bready doughy malt and some salt, even a touch of coriander like spice, bitterness ramping a lot and getting weird, then big fruit punch mix again, Kool-aid mix added to an OK at best gose, salty and sweet almost undrib

Mouth is med to lighter bod, touch flemmy, decent carb

Overall this was terrible, not a beer at all, waaaaay too salty, waaaay too sweet sugary fruit drink, very little actual beer, just basically undrinkable

Third can or so of this one and also had it at the brewery a few weeks back. Always a great stop in that awesome spot.

A- Pours an absurd pink-red hue from the can into my tasting goblet. The head is a very finely bubbled foam with a pink hue and it ascends to a finger high with good retention. A small maybe eigth inch foam stays forever and nice webs and huge sheets of thin lacing form.

S- The flavor is one thing but this aroma is exactly what you would expect out of a beer with this name and the description of this one. Tropical fruit punch Kool Aid is huge and makes up the vast majority of the aroma with some base grains and lactic tartness behind it. Summer as a kid comes to mind.

T- The flavor feels a bit more like a beer with an obvious pale wheaty, bready malt note coming out from the grains and a touch of sweetness that balances out the tarts and fruit punch quite well. Again, Tropical Kool Aid all the way with a fairly laid back lactic, lemony Gose in the backdrop.

MF- Light bodied with a medium level of carbonation. The texture is foamy and fizzy and it ends with a medium tartness.

Say what you will but the aroma of this one is fantastic for any one that had the godly beverage of Tropical Kool Aid as a kid. Gimmicky but a summer refresher and one that works out thanks to good brewing.

Picked up in Kittery. Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy red pink hue with a one finger head that fades to leave light lacing and a thin blanket.

S - Big aromas of cherry tropical fruit punch. Like hi-c fruit punch and capri Sun. No beer but yeah, definitely fruit punch.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of the tropical fruit punch flavour. Little wheat and lemons heavy handed on the salt.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, body is this and watery.

O - Overall this was a very underwhelming beer; tasted like someone poured fruit punch into an inadequate beer.

Poured from a 16 oz can.

Pours a hazy magenta color with a finger of pinkish-white head that settles into a thin sheet, leaving a ring of cobweb lacing as it dissipates.

The aroma is literally fruit punch. It's...fruit punch. You ever had Hi-C? That.

The flavor is a bit more complex. There's that sweet fruit punch flavor, but there's also some tart citrus and bready malts, with the faintest hint of hops and salt.

The feel is medium-light bodied with hefty carbonation. Crisp, clean and refreshing with a dry finish.

Overall, this beer tastes like a cherry sour patch kid. It's called a "fruit punch gose" by the brewery and that description is absurdly accurate. Highly drinkable and full of flavor.

Can. This thing pours a bright, screaming red. Vibrant. Flavor is very fruit punch. I think I had a J. Wakefield beer before that went for the same idea. This is actually better than I anticipated. Oddly too bitter, though.
