The colour is deep red-brown, almost black. Clear liquid. The two finger head is off-white and compact, it sinks down to a thick lid leaving massive lacing on the glass.
The smell is creamy with citric hops, grapefruit peels, resin, orange juice, and light coffee and a touch of smoked delicatessen.
The taste is lighter than expected, and a bit dusty. Bitter hops, some tangerines and orange peel and wheat flour. Hints of cocoa in the background. Medium body. Growing bitterness in the aftertaste as well as a touch of salt. Roasted barley and dark chocolate bars. The smooth finish is bitter and roasted with some bitter lecture.
The carbonation is medium strong, the mid-sized fresh bubbles are long-lasting. The liquid is smooth, almost like a nitro-beer.
A little too much of the roasted flavours, but not bad at all!
