This is the imperial version and I poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a nice looking dark black color. Even poured with a darker sort of 'glub-glub' sort of sound, dare I say sounded like motor oil pouring out, eh, maybe on a harder pour (if I forced it), but I didn't and to me this looked good. Head dissipated nicely with a little bit of concave lace.
The aroma had a fair amount of sweet ash/char rolling on into some coconut, seems to me a bit larger than the 4.0 version. Nice levels of dark chocolate and milk chocolate layers strolling in for a great balance.
The flavor leads with more roast than expected but still after a bit of warming allows a decent take on some sweet coconut. Super subtle aftertaste of roasty chocolate to coffee ash/char, light coconut here.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Some dryness reflects upon the ABV that does fit the imperial porter style. Good carbonation. Semi-sticky finish with some sweet ash and dark chocolate biting into some sweet coconut.
Overall, pretty damn good imperial porter well worthy of having again.

Drinking out of a small goblet.
Pours a clear almost black with a thin tan head.
Smells of coconut.
Nice mouth feel.
Strong taste of coconut, chocolate, maybe vanilla.

Pours pitch black, nearly impervious to light. Accompanied by a foamy mocha head, it looks like an imperial stout. Loads of chocolate roasted malt on the nose, faint yeast. Flavor is lighter than I expected considering the darkness. Lots of roasted chocolate malt, the coconut and caramel are extremely faint, which is disappointing. Carbonation is medium, as is the body. Overall a great imperial porter that is lacking the adjuncts it’s label declares.
