L: Pours an opaque, cloudy pale orange. Looks like real, freshly squeezed OJ in a glass (minus the pulp). Moderate foamy head with good lacing and retention.

S: Big citrus nose-grapefruit, orange, mango, as well as some stone fruits

T: Starts out very juicy. Mango, grapefruit, some orange fading into more bitter notes mid palate-I got a lot of unripened green mango. The back palate leaves a long, slightly piney, resinous and grassy/herbal finish.

F: Big, thick, creamy mouthfeel. Despite being 90 IBU it hides the bitterness well, especially in the front of the palate

O: Almost an East Coast meets West Coast mashing of styles in this NEIPA take. It has the classic mouthfeel, appearance, and front palate of a NEIPA that is bursting with citrus fruit flavors but the back palate has a healthy dose of pine and grass. I actually really enjoy this twist-there is more depth to it and makes it a bit more of a "sipper" than the typical NEIPA that simply goes down like juice (which is not at all a bad thing).

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy (smoothie?) medium golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of mild caramel malt, tropical fruit, especially pineapple, citrus hops, orange citrus. Flavor is citrus and piney hops, guava, kiwi, pineapple, orange and grapefruit, drying out into a more resinous piney and dank hop finish with light residual fruit esters. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Big fruit juice as advertised, but more hop alpha oil forward in the finish than the regular big juice version. The fruit flavors are great and the hops are flavorful. Big Juice was one of my favorite IPAs last year and this has very similar fruit forward character, but the finish is less balanced, probably due to all the interesting unfiltered hop material floating in here. I love the look of these unfiltered IPAs, but there are definitely more raw herb hop flavors in here too. Will not win my heart from the last version, but still a great unfiltered, fruit forward IPA.

Cloudy, pale orange, with a creamy head. Solid retention and lacing. Aroma is ripe stone fruit and biscuit malt. Citrus and tropical notes as well. Flavor follows suit, with some orange, pineapple, apricot, melon, & mango. Hints of pine and herbs in the aftertaste. Quite smooth really, and juicy. I guess that's why it's called Big Juice, and it's the "smoothie" rendition. Very good beer!

Look: Two finger white head, super hazy orange body.

Smell: Same as below.

Taste: Orange, mild resin, mild papaya, toasted bread.

Feel: Surprisingly balanced for a DIPA. The bitterness is perfectly countered by the malt. It finishes dry.

16oz can served in a large snifter. Given to me by a friend at work. Date on the bottom is 08312017.

Pours like an orange julius -- pale amber and turbid. Looks super thick. Big head and lots of carbonation. If I wasn't getting used to this hazy IPA thing, I'd find the appearance unnerving. Smell is juicy and green.

Taste is bitter and juicy. Maybe some floral stuff going on in there.

Mouthfeel is thick, dry, and a bit gritty. Overall, it's a nice beer.
