Visited with wife and kids on a Saturday afternoon. We got there around four, it wasn't super busy. Staff was friendly, but service was spotty. Beer was good (but not great), food was good and much more interesting that typical bar food (but not cheap). This place is an hour from my home, and it won't justify taking a trip out there, but if I find myself in Olympia, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Stopped here for lunch and beers. They have a bar, seating area, and some outdoor tables. Beer list was heavy on IPAs, but also had some more diverse styles available. They do flights if you want to sample. They have select beers for takeout in cans and large bottles. Server was friendly, and the food was really good.

Bit confusing finding the brewery. Two separate entrances with at least 2 eateries in an open space with different hours.
Anyway, bar is cozy. Good variety on tap. Would stop by again when in Olympia.

My limited experience with 3 Magnets beer has been pretty positive, so as I planned to make a quick stop at the Eastside Club tavern anyway (which is no more than a couple blocks away), I figured I should pay the brewery tasting room a visit.

Located at the corner of Franklin and SE Legion avenue I believe, I ended up walking in from Franklin street, through the nice size back patio area. The tasting room has the look of a small warehouse room, and so there's nothing particular extraordinary about the place visually. There's a nice size TV in the medium sized tasting room (there's a fair size bar area with around 10 seats I think, and a smattering of picnic tables and the like in the tasting room), which on this day was showing women's professional soccer. There's definitely a relaxed, low key vibe to the tasting room, which I always appreciate.

In terms of the beer and selection, I'm wondering if I was just here on an off week. There were just 6 beers on tap the Saturday afternoon I stopped in, with 5 guests taps (and a couple of ciders) as well. The gose and little juice IPA (smoothie edition) were both excellent, and the eastside tavern pale was pretty enjoyable (fairly hoppy pale ale). However, the sun IPA was way too sweet and malty for me, and the big juice DIPA was mediocre at best I thought. I got the 5 beer sampler tray (a bargain at $8 for five 4 ounce pours I thought), and I ended up leaving most of the Sun and Big Juice. I should add that you can get growlers to go here ($14 for most of the beers, but I think $18 for the gose and DIPA). As for service, it was OK. There were two women behind the bar the day I was here, and while they weren't particularly interactive, they were friendly enough otherwise (the tasting room was doing a fairly brisk business the afternoon I was here).

Shrug. Given my pretty positive experiences with 3 magnets beer, I guess my expectations were perhaps unrealistically high for the tasting room. I really feel as if I need to give this place another chance, perhaps when they have a more interesting and diverse tap selection. I asked the bartender when they expect to have their fresh hops beers on tap (the FH IPA I had from them last year was terrific), but didn't get much of an answer (they weren't available yet, and it was unclear just when they would be). All things considered, at least on the Saturday I visited, my experience with the tasting room was pretty underwhelming.

Vibe is laid back, lots of wood and bar high seating. one big tv with low volume will be playing soccer typically.
Quality is high, good beer and food the entire place is clean and well kept. the patio is nice if the sun is out.
Service is lax but the servers are cool and will take care of you. just don't go in there expecting everything to be 5 star wait staff. talk to them about beer, its kind of their thing.
Selection is solid beer features about 10 taps around 8 will be their beers with a guest or 3.
food is unique and high quality with farm, fish or garden options. the fries just ago an overhaul and are much better.

Overall the place was good, had kind of a fun vibe. I like the indoor-outdoor door that makes the place feel open. Seems like they put more effort into their food as opposed to just something to help was their beer down. Service was kind of slow, but that kind of thing doesn't bother me nearly as much as most of the entitled princesses on this site.

Here's my main critique:
6 out of the 8 house beers on tap on 10/11/2015 are pale ales or IPAs, which is the beer scene in the PNW in a nutshell. None of them are particularly noteworthy or mind blowing either. The black lager was actually pretty good. If you can brew a decent lager, you are a good brewer. I wish the brewers would spend some more time exploring other styles than the stagnant pale ale/IPA.

I won't come back to drink more pale/IPAs, but as soon as the taplist reflects some diversity with some darker beers, I will surely come back.

Stopped in on a Weds evening after work. The place had a good vibe and a lively atmosphere. The service was attentive, friendly and prompt. The food menu was varied, much more diverse than your average brewpub, and my cuban sandwich with fries was very good.

Eight of nine beers on the menu were on tap to include their Grisette (very interesting and exactly as described - for the saison lover), Brimley Stout (not quite sure of the style here, kind of drinks and smells like a mild coffee stout, with maybe even a bit of lactic acid?), Galaxian Pale, Little Juice IPA (very nice citrus /grapefruit hop profile with a well balanced malt backstop), Red Sauce IRA (a red rye ale with a well hidden 8.1% abv - if I were a local I'd be taking home a growler of this one), 14 degree Black Lager (easy drinking roasted malt lager - a more intense version of Blue Points Toasted Lager), 10 minute Pale and 3Mag Rain IPA. The beer menu contained detailed descriptions of each and there was also a blackboard of another half dozen guest taps of local area brews and ciders.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place, and would definitely come back. The beers were all very distinctive for their style. Definitely catoring to the beer geek in all of us, with an interesting food menu to compliment the eclectic flavors incorporated in their beers.
