12/8/22 On tap at Pies and Pints in Morgantown WV.
A beautiful pour. Gorgeous in it's deep copper color and thin head.
Nose is bright and fruity. Cherry, raisin, and brown sugar syrup.
Smooth but bright in the mouth. Getting cherry and raisin and a slight bit on the finish.
Not complex or exciting. Average.

Winter 2020 canning
16oz can poured into a tulip
A- pours a deep ruby color with a one-finger off-white head that has good retention long after the pour
S- subtle malty nose with aromas of caramel, brown sugar, figs, dark breads, figs and raisins
T- slightly boozy up front with notes of brown sugar and brown breads. Mid-palate gives some caramel and figs, slightly nutty malt. The finish is astringent with some vinous like qualities
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into a slightly warming finish
O- a nice slow sipper, only complaint is the finish is a bit harsh

Pours a cloudy brown ale color with a frothy tan head that last quite a while. Smell is mild as well. Initial taste is mild coffee like with a very pleasant sweet finish. The fee is a little heavy though. Overall a great brew hatcim very glad I took a chance on, hope to find another growler of it soon

Got a pint of this during happy hour at the bar at Ogle Bay where I am at on a mini vacation with my wife. Served in a clear plastic pint glass/cup, this beer draws a clear, dark copper/amber color with some bright amber/ruby highlights when held up to the light. Has a slightly off-white/tan head that's about 2/3 of an inch thick when first served that settles to a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass along sigh a big cluster swirl of foam in the middle of the beer's surface. Decent lacing. Aromas of toasted, somewhat bready, caramel malt sweetness along with a bit of nuttiness and also some fruity esters of plum and raisin. Also a very slight musty funk and some earthy hops. The taste is pretty much the same, with toasted, bready, caramel malt sweetness along with some nuttiness and dark fruit sweetness of plums and raisins. There is also a slight astringent and slightly musty funk bit that's rounded out with an earthy hop flavor that adds a nice bitterness on the back end. Has a slightly crisp, somewhat oily, somewhat chewy, also smooth and slightly creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel with minimal carbonation. This one really coats the inside of my mouth and the flavors linger nicely on my palate after each sip. Has a clean finish with a slightly dry and bitter aftertaste. An enjoyable beer overall.
