Rich clear amber pour with massive bubbles that rise to form a finger or so of off white head. Dissipates rather rapidly.
Nose is malty and a little yeasty and the hops tend towards the floral and a bit spicy side with a touch of apricot.
Flavour follows suit starting fruity/nectar sweet with a distinctive floral twist before turning to a lingering bitter finish.
Its growing on me as I drink it. This is a perfectly serviceable IPA, one that I'd gladly sit and enjoy (and at 'just' 5%, I could sit and enjoy a couple of them without having to worry too much!), but it doesn't particularly stand out in a crowded field. Will have to revisit on tap as I also have some concerns about the freshness of the bottle (normally I don't like to review IPAs that might not be fresh, but considering I bought it directly from the brewery I don't feel as bad if it is actually old)

This is the good old orange amber-colored IPA style. Some head sloshes up for the first couple of pours in the tulip glass. It's quite finely carbonated and prickly in the mouth. Fairly light body.
This has the browned biscuit taste to start with an abundance of hoppy flavors. More dark fruit, a touch of apricot, and something like juniper. Rough, rustic, but not herbal or dank. There is something like lime rind as the bitterness increases in the aftertaste. Very spritzy and rather acidic.
Another workmanlike brew from Big Time. A big, bitter mouthful. From the 22 oz bottle bought at the brewpub near the University of Washington.

On tap into an American pint glass @ the Wedgwood Alehouse, Seattle. Pours a slightly hazy copper color, no lacing.
Aroma is hoppy and floral, clean and fresh.
Taste is neutral pale malt balanced by floral and citrusy hops, just a touch of something a little more tropical.
Mouthfeel is crisp and sharp with a hoppy bitter finish.
Overall a pretty typical NW style IPA. Perfect with a bowl of French onion soup, Buffalo wings, and a cheeseburger.

Draft at the brewpub in Seattle.
Pours a cloudy pale golden orange color with tangerine edges and a 1.5 finger white head that very slowly fades into a thick lasting ring. Glass is left coated with streaks of soapy lacing.
Fuller bodied than expected with earthy, resinous hop aroma. Strong grass/soil character with sticky pine needle countered by sweet malt and tropical fruit notes. Hints of pineapple, mango, grapefruit and orange peel along with biscuit, caramel malt and graham cracker. Hops linger throughout with a decent amount of dry bitterness that's nicely countered by the sweeter notes. Well balanced and easy to drink with a well masked abv. Nice beer.
