Easy to find on Southbound Rt. 9 near the McDonalds in Wappingers Falls. Its located behind a coffee shop and across from a pharmacy. Small brewing operations which are located in the tasting room. About 8 bar stools at a minimalistic bar, and cool orange walls. Beer menu was handed to me and unfortunately a few were not available. They had a pale ale, english porter, hefe, amber, and a Roggenbier. Only had time for one pint and the pale ale was good. Service is very friendly here and the brewer was talking to patrons. Worthy of a stop if in the area.

I had a North River wheatwine on tap at Dog Pub in Beacon and was impressed, so I looked online and decided to go to the taproom. They are located in a strip mall along the commercial development of Route 9, on the back of Bad Ass Coffee. This is a veritable mom-and-pop operation, with the husband and wife both operating the brewery and manning the tasting room. Their adorable daughter was roaming around when I visited and wanted to play and show off her miniature car collection.
I tried five of the ten or twelve beers on tap, including their Maple Whiskey IPA, Paddle Steamer Pale Ale, Imperial Coffee Porter (aged in Tas Kafe Route 9 coffee), S’Mores stout and Winter Warmer.
North River’s brews are generally fine. Some are uninspired but they all show signs of something good, and their taproom is a fun place to visit.

Stopped in on Sunday afternoon to check the place out. A small little brewery on the back side of small commercial strip. A nice location on Route 9 in Wappingers and easy to find. A small tasting room with a clear view of their brewing set up. Mostly set up for beer-to-go but a nice place to stop for a quick beer or growler. Run by a nice couple with lots of beer knowledge and super friendly.
I had two beers there which were pretty good. Unfilitered, easy drinking and well balanced.
I would recommend stopping in and checking out their beers. Cheers!
