Cool place, livens up the area in Jackson. Excellent service, interesting beers, and good food. A few of the beers were on the watery side but still enjoyed trying them. Would definitely go back!

The wife and I stopped by this establishment last weekend, glad we did. Located in an old market building just off downtown. Plenty of seating, large bar rail. Comfortable place.

4 IPA's on during my visit, Monkey Mouth, one with basil, a grapefruit, and one other. All were well done, although not spectacular. Also serving Sleeping Bear wines, and their own distilled spirits.

We just had the smoked trout appetizer to eat, and it was very good. Menu looked interesting, would like to try some other items. sat at the bar, and the bartender was really personable.

Will return

I'm not overly impressed with this brewery. This brewery is ok at best. The food and beer are nothing to write home about. They are not bad by any means, just not anything spectacular. Seems to me that the brewery doesn't really have any character or personality. Feels like a brewery that is just going through the paces and isn't out to break any molds or create anything amazing. Seems like a place where everything is mediocre... Considering the other breweries that are within an hour drive of this place, I'd rather spend my time at Bells, Dark Horse, or even hopcat.

Great food menu. The draft list is usually 10 or more better than average beers. I highly recommend happy hour here.

A lot of open space while walking in. You get to the the huge bar and the holding tanks overlooking the bar give it a nice feel. I like the selection of beers, wines, and coming soon a distillery. My favorite beer was the Monkey Mouth Ipa. I had a great burger and my wife had some amazing soup of the day. You can tell they have a chef that is making food from scratch. They have a small menu which is also another indicator they are making fresh food to order. I wasn't able to fill my growler of the Monkey Mouth because they entered their beers in the New York International and the Monkey Mouth won a Gold award! So they were running out of the monkey mouth and couldn't sell it to me just yet. They told me they have a double batch working so come back and I'll be able to fill up no problem. I also Manage a close restaurant and will be getting two of their beers on tap. The first is Cherry poppins which is a saison and is easy drinking with light cherry flavored. The other will be the Monkey Mouth IPA once it becomes available! I will continue to promote this brewery to any beer drinker that walks in my restaurant. I hope we continue to work with this brewery and get more on tap! I will be back often!

This brewery is now about a year old or so, and has a lot of extras going for it that should make it successful. It is a large restaurant that is a part of the downtown area, and it can also accommodate a large private party. But it also has beer (which is the real purpose of this review), a winery operation, and a soon-to-be distillery business, all under the same roof. A large patio is also available for an outdoor experience. The large parking lot has a covered truck dock-like area that is used for a farmers’ market, and I suspect that the brewery might use this for large festival events, especially when a roof overhead can be beneficial.

There are 10 taps available here, plus two more for wines. (There are also 5-6 vodka cocktails listed on the menu, although we did not see a full bar.) Only 9 beers were available on the Friday afternoon when we arrived for a late lunch. The place was not yet busy, so we experienced very good service. We ordered a sampler of 4 of the beers, plus half-pours of two other beers. The other 3 beers on the menu that we didn’t try are light-flavored styles that we typically don’t enjoy, so we didn’t order them.) All of the beers were brewed pretty much to style, and we didn’t note any flaws. There was nothing exceptional about the beers, so we rated one as a C and the rest as a C+ grade.

We ordered off the lunch menu, which consisted mostly of typical pub fare, and we liked what we had, although our dishes did not have any flourish about them. We didn’t look at the dinner menu, but it is posted on the website.

Howlers and growlers of the beer are available to go, as well as a number of different wines, some of which we have had when the Sleeping Bear Winery had its outlet at a location along I-94 just west of Jackson. (The wines were always very tasty.) Presumably there will also be spirits available to go when that operation gets started.
