The best place to enjoy world class beer in Scandinavia? 40 taps including a large selection of Mikkeller beers, and guest beers ranging from rare American treats to European craft. Often has tap takeovers of really good stuff, especially during the Mikkeller Beer Celebration in May. Haven't tried any food here yet.

Fairly large bar in the basement level of a building. 40 taps, many of which are Mikkeller or Mikkeller-related. Huge bottle list, including some pretty hard to find bottles. All bottles can be taken to go. Prices are pretty high, but that was expected. Connected to the Mikkeller Koelschip next store.

Way too expensive. I get that it's Denmark, but still. There are far better options in the city. Super small pours. Lots of Mikkeller beers on tap. Just wasn't my thing.

The second and bigger Mikkeller bar in Copenhagen, previously home to the bottleshop as well.

M&F boasts a pretty impressive taplist of 40, which are spread between Mikkeller's own beers and beers from his many, many friends. You can be sure that you will find at least one beer you like, and at least one that you haven't had before. The styles also vary a lot, so you'll always be able to find somethig that fits your mood. If the 40 taps don't do it, the bottle list is world class as well. You can even buy some bottles to go.

The space itself is pretty spartan, just like the original Mikkeller bar. Plenty of tables and quite a few nooks and crannies as well.

Service is always quich, polite and in the know. These guys care about what they serve, and it also shows in the quality of the beer.

Overall, a great place to hang out, but it is quite a bit out of the way if you're in the middle of Copenhagen. Well worth the trek though!

Excellent bar that is a bit out of the way. Found a way to get within 3 blocks by bus, so not too expensive. 40 taps of mostly Mikkeller. Has a bottle shop that is part of the bar that is well worth visiting. Great service, great selection, and typical prices. Well worth the time to visit.

Second stop on a Thursday afternoon after Mikkeller mother ship. 40 min walk from the original one. Much bigger and includes a great bottle shop - grabbed the 3Floyds collabs and begged for Nelson Sauvignon bottles but to no avail. Still a great experience. Everything you would want on tap from Mikkeller plus some other goodies. Servers know their sht and will let you try stuff. Still lots of seats when I left at 6 pm. From what I hear it is a younger Pilsner drinking crowd peppered with tourist beer geeks. Well worth seeking out.

Morning in Copenhagen, after dealing with some serious rental-car headaches… we are off to explore. Headed to Norrebro to see where the cool hipsterati of Denmark hang, eat, drink, shop and live!

Cool hood, no doubt. You go from a world-class restaurant to an outstanding spirits shop that offers mezcal tastings and on to a bunch of small stores selling everything from crafty ceramics to chocolate and taxidermized squirrels (which we were told are all the rage among Copenhagen hipsters). After lunch at Manfred, it was time for Mikkeller & Friends.

This, my friends, is the perfect bar. I have reviewed 700 beer establishments here on BA and have never awarded a perfect “5” to anything. Not to a bar, not a beer. Not to nothing. Until now, 700 and almost six years later.

Because, really, for the first time I found no complaint at a beer joint. Nothing that precluded me from awarding this place a FIVE. Perfection.

I walked in and found a bottle shop with so many rare and out-of-print brews, I thought I would die. Picture Hill Farmstead, Three Floyds, Mikkeller Stout Grand Marnier, Fall of Man, Mikkeller Hill Daybreak, George Calvados, George Cognac (had), George Bourbon (had), George Cherry, George vs Brian Tequila (had), George vs Brian Cherry, Mikkeller Black Fist…

The guy in charge was so nice and helpful, I couldn’t stop talking to him and asking for recommendations. Then I walked around- this place is like a maze, hallways and corners and nooks and crannies, all decorated with cool Mikkeller-themed prints (I wish I could have bought some).

We reached the bar and I thought I would never leave. It is only, what, 2pm? The place is chill, the bartender is helpful and super nice, the taps are incredible… I want to relocate here. Now. Forever. If they had food, this would be the perfect abode for the beer freak. I would rent a spot and sleep on the floor and just live there until I tried every great, rare beer in the world.

Because the Mikkeller guys do get all the rare stuff. 40 taps and shit like BA Borish the Crusher, Three Floyds Panzer, Surly Furious and tons of Mikkeller… Beer Geek Dessert, Limoncello (tried), To Ol Black Ball (tried), Mikkeller Black Ink (tried), To Ol First Frontier and many, many more.

The barkeeps know their stuff and will guide you. Let them do so. This place is so PERFECTION!

Great place that I visited one evening in Copenhagen.

I accidentally walked right past it at first, it's a pretty unassuming looking place, in a quiet neighborhood, located below street level, a bit dark, but simple and clean looking with scattered rooms, tables, chairs, candles and benches. In the back, they also had a small bottle shop that was closed when I was there.

Beer selection was great, 40 taps, with about a dozen Mikkeller beers, a few Hill Farmstead (they had an event from them a few days prior), some Three Floyd's, and a bunch of other excellent handles.

The gentlemen who helped me was nice and knowledgeable. He answered my questions when I inquired about beers that I wasn't familiar with.

Prices were high, but about what I expected for Denmark.
