Great Selection of beer. Service is always great. Vibe is bit drab/dull, okay not just a bit but quite a bit. Its eerily quiet in there for a bar. Music is pitiful, if they have it on at all. If they threw more color up on the wall with artwork, posters...anything that is interested and added some depth to the 4 small walls inside, you'd have something else to do instead of stare at a muted sports center replay. I have had a better time drinking beer at a funeral. But, I digress...if it wasn't for the selection..this place would fold in no time.

Hop Scholar is a laid back beer bar with a couple casks and a very eclectic draft list. They usually have something for everyone, whether it's a wild ale on tap, a barleywine, or even cider. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, this is a great bar to make it a regular stop for drinking.

A quality beer bar in a nondescript strip center. The building is fairly cold, with a few TV's, high ceilings , an L bar, a few tables scattered and an area for darts. Low key, and minimalistic, if a bit sterile. Though, you have to love the low key vibe. One where you can carry on a conversation and interact with others. How original.
Service is on top of everything, and very knowledgable. They are very engaging, and obviously take good care of regulars, along with new comers from inside the loop, like me :) Not only knowing the selection, but can talk shop with everybody. Including a list of the staffs favorites on the chalk board.
I did not count, but a substantial tap list with no crap or filler (except Guinness IMO). A good mix of good locals and national brands. Deschutes Black Butte, several Epic brews, Saint Arnold Icon Blue, Lone Pint Yellow Rose, B52 DIPA, and they had just tapped a bunch of Freetail when I walked in. It is excellent to see them in town. Not to mention two casks, growlers and bottles to go.
I don't wander to far outside of the loop. Cottonwood is about as far out as I get. Though places like Hop Scholar and Nobi make me want to venture out more often. A great beer bar that has their stuff together. Want to be beer bars like Beer Market and Revelry should take note.

Heard about this place thru my homebrew shop had to try it out. This is a new establishment so its pretty clean looking. A large bar area with about 20 tables. Some cool local beer décor on the walls. They have roughly 10 beers on tap rangeing from stouts to IPAs but not limited to those. They have 5-6 taps dedicated to ciders and they also have a cooler stocked with other assorted cans/bottles. There is no kitchen, but they do allow you to bring in outside food/snacks.
Overall, I always enjoy having a place to go that has good quality craft beer, but at the same time it was very quiet no music and no form of entertainment. Just my opinion...
Cheers!
