Vibe: This upscale place is located in the renovated Denver Union Station. It is located behind the former ticket windows in a long rectangular room and has a bar on one side and booth seating on the opposite site. You can see through the bar into the waiting room of the station (which functions as the lobby for a hotel) and you can even order drinks from the waiting room by standing next to the old ticket windows. As an added bonus, the bar opens at 10:00 am, at least an hour before most other places in the downtown area.

Quality: Beers were served at the proper temperature in a variety of glassware that included pint glasses and snifter glasses (depending on the strength of the beer).

Service: Service at the bar was quick because there were one to two bartenders working depending on the time of day and how busy the place was. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. I liked how they immediately gave you a glass of water as soon as you sat down and kept on refilling it.

Selection: The place features craft beers from Colorado. I counted a total of 28 different beers on-tap, each of which was from a different brewery in the state.

A-The Terminal Bar is located on the ground floor of the newly renovated Union Station in lower downtown Denver. The bar area is a cozy place with dark wood, brass, big booths, and a sort-of 1920s vibe. However, the bar also serves drinks that patrons can enjoy in the grand hall, which is huge and full of couches, long tables, and some shuffleboard tables. A few restaurants and markets line the building and hotel rooms look down from above. It makes for a pretty cool spot to grab a beer.

Sel-The Terminal offers 30 beers on tap. Most of the big craft breweries are represented and the focus is heavy on Colorado craft, e.g., New Belgium, Odell, Avery, etc. I did not see any super odd or rare selections, but the selection is pretty good for the type of bar this place is trying to be. Stouts to IPAs to hefes were available when I visited.

Ser-The service was dreadful on the Friday afternoon that I visited. The bar was crowded, but that was primarily because people had to stand around so long to wait for their drinks. The staff was friendly, at least, but they were moving at a snail's pace and the pours were short and in shaker pint glasses (even the hefeweizens). The bad service hurts the overall score.

F-I don't think the bar serves any food, but you can pick up food from the other restaurants/markets in the building to make a meal or have a snack.

V-The prices were on the high side, but not outrageous for the location.

O-I like this place and can see stopping by again since it is close to my office. I'm hopeful the service will improve as it matures. It is not going to win any craft beer awards when compared against nearby competition like the Falling Rock, but if you need a cool spot to hang out and people watch with a beer, this place fits the bill.
