Notes: Fall seasonal beer at all of the Montreal locations. Saaz & Hallertau hops are clear.... spicy... it's certainly not an Oktoberfest in the amped-up Munich Helles/Märzen style as I'd expected, nor is it a Vienna-style lager but at least it's clean and there's some malt - but it's not a particularly "malty" beer. It is balanced, however, but the bitterness does seem higher than 27 IBUs. The alcohol doesn't particularly show, but perhaps it's adding to the spiciness along with the Saaz hops. While I can't really give it a thumbs-up for style, I can say that of the 4 I tasted I'd tie it for second with the Brune behind their house beer, the Biére Du Quartier.
