Notes: Belgian-style witbier. Very hazy, almost cloudy. Yellow. Very Belgian, the yeast is in charge here. Phenolic. Malt is just a base for the yeast. Still, it's pleasant enough, balanced, and without any flaws.

"White" beer seems to be all the rage in Canada, but this one kind of misses the mark. It pours a cloudy very pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma isn't too present, slightly spicy.

There's a bit of an astringent spice flavor here, along with a heavy lemon/orange taste, and to be honest it's not balanced enough. It certainly is drinkable though, and wasn't horrible, but there are so many better white beers in Canada that I wouldn't stick around for this one too long. I guess if you're in the place and looking for a lighter, summery beer, this isn't a bad option.

Unfortunately, this showed up at my table with an orange slice stuck on the rim of the glass. It still had a fluffy white head that quickly dissipated. The beer was a murky, milky yellow, the colour of custard or a lemon tart. Lemony aroma with light spice and malt. Mostly sweet flavour with a light citrusy lemon and spiciness. Finished slightly grainy and dry. Moderate carbonation with a lightish body, a dry astringency, and some slickness. The yeast character wasn't bold enough for my tastes and it just ended up being an astringent, sweet mess.
