12 ounce can into a snifter. 2019 edition, had 5/4/20.
Pours an opaque dark brown, thick looking, with a half inch head of darker foam and some foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, oak, roasted malt, chocolate, some coffee, molasses, some char, light tobacco, a little vanilla. Similar flavors- bourbon, roasted malt, chocolate, oak, molasses, raisins, vanilla, some coffee. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
This is a solid effort. Great barrels, lots of expressive flavors and aromas. Found this really satisfying and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

From a bottle dated on the waxed cap, 2017. This is now sold as a four pack of cans.
L: Pours a thick, oily dark brown with a tan head that hangs around a bit, excellent lacing and a nice oily film on the glass.
S: Nose gets some dark fruit, toffee and roasted malts, bourbon and ash.
T: Tongue gets some coffee, dark chocolate just a hint of alcohol.
F: This is one of the "chewier" BA stouts that I've had the pleasure of trying.
O: This beer, with a year under its belt us about as good as they get.
