I tried a can of this beer at my line mate's place in St. Germain, Wisconsin whilst there for the Eagle River Pond Hockey Tournament. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that left some lace. The scent had nice tropical fruit peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with good citrus presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Milkshake cloudy. This makes the beer look like it was supposed to be dark amber, but because of the milky-ness, it looks like light-colored mud. The head is modest, but it leaves some blankets and streaks.
Lots of mango, pineapple, and cantelope aroma. Light, prickly grapefruit rind nose.
Juicy start, reminiscent of pineapple juice. There's a sweetness I hadn't anticipated. This is enhanced by the hop bitterness being lower than most hazy DIPAs. This is a rich beer with a moderated carbonation. The finish slides to the bitter, but it never overwhelms. Overall, for a DIPA, this would land in my top third.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy straw colored pour, thin off-white head. Aroma is citrus peel, grapefruit, lemon, pine. Taste brings light bready malts and plenty of citric notes. Light sweetness and lots of tang. aBV? Not readily apparent. Palate left buzzing though...

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that has very good retention properties and also left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of lime citrus are present in the nose along with hints of herbal hops.
T: The taste has flavors of lime and stone fruit with hints of pine. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, crisp and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is very bold in both the smell and taste. It definitely seems like a beer that is strong, but it does a very good job at hiding the alcohol from the taste.

Oliphant Zozo GunGun Hazy Double IPA.
10 % ABV.
Oliphant Brewing, Somerset, WI.
All clouded up, bright golden hue, slim white head on top.
In the nose: Bold and beautiful hop expression. Big citrus, touch of floral, spice, little bit of tropical fruit, as well. Nice.
In the mouth: Blast of bitterness blazes the palate. And the hazy and the yeast swallows it up. Just a little bit juicy. Medium malt, high hops. Resulting in fairly balanced and smooth, until the booze builds. Orange and grapefruit, building bitterness, ending dry.
I keep drinking the Hazy Double IPAs because they are there and I have to drink something, even though I don't prefer them over a regular, non-hazy DIPA. Make more of those, please. Pretty please? Pretty pretty please please?
By the way, it does not seem that ZoZo GunGun is directly related to an earlier beer from Oliphant called Zozo Gun. Also, it might not repel poltergeists.
