A project has a defined ending. I guess this will, but it should not end in a permanent product.

It is partly cloudy and a little dark for the style. The aroma is very funky and slightly offensive. I grew up in that neighborhood - I know what bad smells like and this is leaning that way.

The taste is interesting. A bunch of hoppps and malts thrown together to make a bitter funky brew. It beats a lot of mono taste brews, but it is unappealing. I would not want to drink this with any food. The more I drink the less I like. I understand it was canned two days ago.

This is another Platform I would not recommend. I'm glad I did not serve the other can I had to guests yesterday.

Pours a medium light golden with a decent head. Aroma is really interesting with some tropical fruit / kiwi, malt and citrus / tropical hops. I've never actually had a cherimoya, but I'm guessing what I was detecting is a reasonable representation. The fruit aroma only comes through in a curved glass, not from the can. Once I took a drink, the hops and a bit of malt completely overwhelmed anything else. There may have been a bit of kaffir lime in the back end, but basically this tasted like a fairly good (but somewhat generic) hoppy pale ale, like Oskar Blues but slightly lighter.

My guess is that the freshness of the hops (this seems really recently canned) is currently working against the overall flavor of the beer, which could be really complex and interesting if the aroma came through more in the flavor and the hops were toned down. This might be better in mid or late March.

Golden Amber color with slight head, no real lacing and looks thin. Good hop malt balance with some sort of fruit back there. Sweet fruity hop taste but still a good malt backbone. Medium body and carbonation. Overall pretty good ipa.

Very impressive for a small semi local brewery. Can't wait to try their other beers. Great job platform!

Release 2 of 4. This is not an IPA. A Pale Ale, yes. Good beer with nice fruit tones.

A: Citrusy hops, moderate clean malt, with a light cherimoya aroma and moderate kaffir lime finish.

A: Light amberish color, totally clear with a moderate white head of uniform pinhead bubbles that provides adequate retention. There is a bit of lacing in the glass.

T: Ample citrusy hops with a balanced malt presence – slightly sweet, light cherimoya flesh flavor with a moderate kaffir lime flavor. The beer is crisp and finishes dry with moderately high bitterness from the hops and limes that lingers a bit.

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The cherimoya provides a slight creaminess to the mouth-feel.

O: Interesting; the beer starts out like a standard American dry-hopped pale. The beer is hop forward with a balanced malt presence, but then the cherimoya kicks in, followed by the lime to provide some interesting flavors. I am not a huge cherimoya fruit fan, but it works well with this beer is lightly used and not overpowering. My only real knock is that the limes and hops provide a bitterness level a bit strong for my tastes. However, the beer is still pretty tasty to drink.

Pours a hazy light Amber color. Has a light citrusy aroma. Flavor is mild citrus with a velvety smooth cherimoya flavor. It is a great representation of the fruit in beer form. Overall this is really drinkable and quite enjoyable.
