Notes: Hop forward Hazy IPA brewed with Simcoe, HBC 438 and Michigan Chinook. This haze-filled wonder is a pineapple bomb that drinks smooth and is nougat-like chewy.

Darkish, cloudy yellow on the pour, and enough pineapple, citrus and pine in the nose to clear your sinuses and delight your palate. Malt is present but not overshadowed at all, though the alcohol is cleverly hidden--which makes it dangerous. It's only 6.8% which qualifies it as sessionable with The PubScout, but without eating, that could be problematic. Juicy as hell with a hint of bitterness in the finish that makes you call for another. Massive head (in the proper glass, of course) which refuses to die, and it leaves a nice lacing. Is it world class? like my underwear--depends--on your definition. But if you're a NEIPA fan, this Cleveland brew will not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My sister and brother-in-law brought me a few of these during a recent visit to SA from Columbus. Hooray for interstate commerce.

Pours a cloudy opaque yellow color with a good two-finger head and decent lace. An awesome looking beer and incredibly fitting for its name. The nose is bold and fruity with lots of citrus and tropical fruits. I love the aroma of Simcoe hops which are present here as well. The taste is super juicy, with great citrus and pine playing off each other seamlessly. Mouthfeel is crisp but lush and smooth. Hard to explain, but that's what it's like.

Just a really great beer here. I'd love to try more stuff from Platform. Cheers.

I like the idea of super hazy NE style IPA's but this one is especially hoptastic!

It pours cloudy yellow with smallish head. The aroma is a killer over hoppy smell, with just enough funky to keep it scary. The taste is a nice dry bitter funk with a little less bite than is often the case with this style.

Recommended.

A thanks to the founding father of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz can. Has a hazy orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of oranges, peaches. Taste is the same, juicy, more bitter than I expected. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

This is part of their "Small Batch IPA Series". Canned on 2/22/18. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a very cloudy and hazy burnt yellow with an eggshell white head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of tropical fruits along with some malts. The flavors follow the nose. Lots of tropical fruit juice. Pineapple leads the way. Slightly sweet with a moderate bitterness to it. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.

This is a pretty solid "New England IPA". It has a nice fruit juice vibe going on. It might not be "mind blowing", but it's well done and enjoyable. It's fun to drink. I like it.

Murky orange color. Nice white fluffy head with good retention and lacing. Pineapple and orange on the nose and palate. A pinch of booze detected. Enjoyable until it starts to warm. The sweetness builds and distracts. Light bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is really smooth and somewhat creamy. A nice beer but not something I could drink a lot of.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/22/2019. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, minty, peppery hops; and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great, Minimal warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is an awesome NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Yet another Voss Kviek yeasted NEIPA. Awesome Simcoe, MBC 438, MI Chinook profile. Very juicy, vibrant, fairly dank/earthy hops, and fruity/spicy yeast complexity; with a great balancing bready wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example all around.

Got a 6pck of this from my local Meijer. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had tropical fruit peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with citrus flare. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.
