This is a pretty good IPA. I think it suffers a bit by not distinguishing itself. It's smooth, moderately hoppy, and has little aftertaste. Pretty Darn Good.

Clear reddish amber with a modest foam in the Blanche de Chambly tall glass. Faint woody aroma. Poured from the 22 oz bottle purchased at Safeway in Anacortes.

This is pretty herbal and on the dirty side. Aftertaste is unrelenting bitterness. As it warms up, the sweet malt opens a little. Sharp and acidic with a resiny intensity. Finish is just that gummy bitterness.

Nice lace hung on the sides with a nice orange/amber color. A worthy pour if you're in the neighborhood.

at Sea-Tac into a shaker

a: little haze, reddish amber with a one-finger off-white head
s: not a huge nose, but solid, caramalt and earthy/bready sweetness, as well as some tangerine and earthy/herbal hoppiness
t & m: this is old school west coast IPA, to me, with solid hoppy resin notes, a little bit of citrus, some slight earthy herbs, balanced by a great (almost English) malt backbone. Its substantial, pleasantly bitter, but not rough. a little on the heavy side, and maybe could use a bit more carbonation...very easy to knock back a number of these, but I've got to catch a plane.

Poured from a bottle. Dark red/orange in color with an off white head. Citrus hop aroma in the nose. Taste is citrusy, plenty of bitterness. Texture is a tad on the thin side. Overall pretty good.

12 oz bottle

Pours a hazy reddish brown body with a 1/2 inch off white head, decent lacing

Prominent citrus smell kicks in at the pour, mostly orange. Some malt

Taste is nothing like the smell... There is no prominent citrus . It's a subtle mix of sweet malt and a little bit of pine . Slightly bitter finish

Feel is ok. Slightly prickly

Overall; IPA's seem to come in three categories: Fruity, Piney, and a mixture of both. This one is in the mixture category., Very nice
