Look: Black body with a foamy, light mocha head. Slippery legs that leave circles and ovals behind on the sides of the glass.
Smell: Mostly roast and part toast. Black, underwhelming coffee flavor. A little nuttiness and a smidgen of dark bread. I detect a touch of lactose sweetness.
Taste: Roast is front and center, with a touch of malty sweetness. A dash of pepper. Short finish...dry...ish.
Feel: Medium carbonation. No lather in the mouth. Overweight, medium body.

Overall - Straight forward stout. This is not a mongrel.

Pours pitch black, opaque in the glass with a thin light brown head that dissipates to a ring around the glass with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, chocolate, molasses and a hint of hay. Flavor of dark toasted malt with nice char, boiled down coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, rye bread crust. Big, charred, toasty finish that his surprisingly dry, but rich and lingering. Pleasant medium to heavy bodied with light carbonation. At first, I was taken aback by the dryness of the finish of this stout, but was probably expecting a sweeter Russian style stout from the pour and look. In fact, but flavor profile was classic export stout, except with a more robust toasted, smoky char malt. The dry chocolate and toasty malt leaves an interesting and long lingering aftertaste. Very full flavored for the style and ABV. Nicely done and different.

Not to my liking. A bit too light, perhaps watery.

Poured jet black with a thick tan head that hung onto the glass for dear life. This isn't labeled a chocolate stout, but you wouldn't know it as the flavors are dark roast coffee and chocolate all the way. It feels nice, but it is absolutely a dessert beer, I can't imagine drinking more than a bomber in one sitting. Still, it's a good one and I'd put in the elite class of local stouts.

Pours a pitch black with a dark tan head that trails the glass. The smell is full of dark roasted coffee and dark chocolate with some smokey flavors coming through as well. The taste was nice with a sweet beginning and a toasty finish that I thought lingered a tad bit too long. Overall I was happy to try it.

Feel really good. Taste a touch hoppy for a stout (according to me). Overall. It's no ten Fidy or old Rasputin. But a good stout.

Pitch black with a three finger high brownbeige, fluffy head that leaves lots of lacing on the glass.

Nose: Espresso, roasted malt, dark chocolate and dried fruit.
Taste: Coffe, chocolate, red berries, smoke and a lot of hops.
Body: Medium body with light carbonation. Soft taste with a great bitterness.
