I agree with everything UCLABrewN84 said in his review. But this is not my taste so it will not be in my cart again. I'm thinking that any beer that is sold as Space Needle should represent Seattle Craft and this beer does not do this. this is a nich beer that satisfy those who just like the Bitter end of IPA's....not my Brew for sure.

Pours an attractive yellow amber with a decent head in the Timmermans goblet. A pleasant tingle of carbonation. Faint woodsy scent.

There is just a touch of sweet malty flavor at the beginning, with a hint of pears. The the scratchy bitterness takes over. Lots of resiny, barky, herbaceous hops dominate the flavors. Quite a bitter finish without much in the way of aromatics. A grapey hint, then the medicinal rasp.

This is quite drinkable if you like the big hop hammer, but it's not very interesting in any way, and it ends up down that same bitter road. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Pioneer Market in La Conner.

Scored one of these from the Total Wine warm shelves, solo bottle, was something in the $1.50 range if I recall correctly. Pours a golden and light copper color, 1/2" white head. Aroma was lacking dry hopping, not the most aromatic beer.

Taste, mostly bitter grapefruit type of hops that don't provide much in the way of flavor like so many proprietary strains. Not as heavy on the caramel/crystal malts as some PacNW beers, but at the same time, wasn't so dry that it really fit the West Coast ipa genre, this one still clings to some of those PacNW C hops and C malts.

Ultimately I found this one to be pretty average, usual issues, not enough hop flavor, too much hop bitterness, too heavy of a malt base and desire to achieve balance.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of pine, citrus. Taste is pine, herbal, none of the citrus in the aroma, light bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an ok beer, but not very bold or hoppy for the style.

Not sure if this is a Alias of the anniversary that's still on the shelves... this bottle has the yellow labels.

22oz bottle poured into a snifter... pours dirty yellow with a small white cap. smell/ taste is tropical mango, pinapple , orange combo... a little harsh and abrasive and dry at the end but still quite good if your looking for a hop fix.

i had much higher hopes for this one after hearing how great all the hoppy beer is supposed to be up in the northwest. granted, this was randomly picked off a warm shelf and tasted a bit old, but even with that, it didnt quite have the hop complexion i was expecting for the region it was produced in. its almost over balanced in an english sense from the malt side of things, doesnt taste like a golden anything, more of a caramel or even bready complexion, i sort of expected the malt to be in the background, but that really isnt the case here. the hops have some cut pine character, sort of vegetal and earthy at the same time, which is what i think about when i think about the staple northwestern varietals, but in this beer they dont seem to be allowed to really shine, and there ends up being more bitterness than hop flavor from them. some sweetness here running through it which is nice when i can taste the pine and orange in the hops but less nice when its just bitterness. bready malt is a bit much for what else is going on, but i suspect this is a better beer normally than it was in my experience, and that the time on the warm shelf took its toll. i should have known better...

Thought this beer to be quite nice. Almost a honey note in it that I kind of like with an IPA on occasion. It seems to mellow the bite some. I'm not familiar with Yakima Valley hops being from the east cost but I can only assume that's what provides the uniqueness.
