Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, less than a five minute walk from the famous Pikes Place Market, sits this brewpub on the bay. The restaurant/brewery shares a gigantic building with several other stores making it more of a mall setting. You walk down a flight of stairs to get from the stores to the beer. There are barely any televisions, and the ones there are difficult to see, making this place a terrible spot to catch a game. Otherwise, the bright neon lights and general cool vibe score very high marks. After all, they never claimed to be a sports bar.

The food is fairly expensive, although probably not for downtown Seattle. I ordered a salmon burger (after all, this is Seattle) but it was extremely disappointing. The fish had very little flavor and the toppings did nothing to help out. The accompanying fries and coleslaw was good, but again, nothing outstanding. However, what saved this place was the seafood chowder. Real, big chunks of crab make this one of the best soups I've ever had.

The beer was very good across the board but none were outstanding. Everything was hopped correctly. Nothing was overly bitter. Everything was flavorful. The Scotch may have been a bit sweet, the blonde a bit bland and the XXX Stout may have been a bit, well, okay that one was wonderful. I would also recommend the Tandem.

One bartender was completely overwhelmed by a mass of thirsty people right after I sat down at the bar. She worked her ass off to get them drinks while trying to attend to a full seated bar as well. I didn't get any service for about 45 minutes, but I can't blame her. The fact that she gave me a free bowl of chowder certainly didn't hurt either. She finally got the line beat, and that's when management decided to send some help. Go figure...

Went for lunch and it was fairly packed with a mix of tourists and locals. Pub looks nice all decorated in red and black with plenty of vintage beer memorabilia throughout. It is mix between chain restaurant and vintage eclectic bar. They had about ten of their beers on tap and a lot of the offerings I could get in bottles back east. I had a pint of the stout and blonde ale. Both were way better than I remember. For lunch I had the spicy wild salmon. Delicious combination of flavor although a bit on the heavy side. Overall, this was a good experience and a place that I would revisit if I was in town.

This seemed like the one place to try in Seattle's downtown. I found it catered more to the touristy crowd. Their stout was good. most of the beers were meh.

Took the tour with a friendly and informative staff member. Brewery is in a restaurant type setting. Unfortunately, I had a couple of flights and wasn't impressed.

Really cool place where I enjoyed a sampler with my wife. We also had a couple of appetizers. They have a very large selection of beers (their own root beers) and you were very satisfied with both the food and the beer. The decor was very good and the place was overall a good vibe place. I will say that the lighting at the tables was extremely bright. I felt like a surgeon in the operating room. Other than that, awesome place and absolutely worth a stop when in Seattle.

Good beer and good food. Has separate, spacious bar seating (self-serve), as well as general seating. Whenever I go somewhere for a growler fill, somebody (often an attractive lady) "ooh"s and "Aaahh"s at my Pike Brewery euro-style growler, which they sell here for a decent price. They have beer history and memorabilia plastered all over the walls, and I always find myself reading newspaper clippings on the wall whenever I come here. It is loud and busy, but I kind of like that. They are pretty vegetarian friendly.

Conveniently located within Pike's Market in Downtown, Seattle. Pike's has been brewing for a good long while in Seattle. The vibe is kind of chill, considering its tourist local and the place has lots of vintage decor. The quality of the beer is solid, though the service could be better along with the selection. Solid if you need a quick drink!

This was a nice little tour and tasting. The food's not bad and the service was pretty good when I was there. It was sure fun to try some offerings I can't find on the shelves!
