Sandy light amber with a creamy collar.

Smell is oaky, seedy blueberry-raspberry with a hint of buttery crust.

Sour but also malty with a soft, big froth and semi-dry crispness, this is exhibiting a nice balance of berry flavors and biscuit, leaning acidic.

Pours an almost transparent pinkish-red colour with a thin white head. Smell is fairly restrained, the presumably wheat based malt character stands out; getting a lot of cracker on the nose. A watered down fruit punch smell, some raspberry jam, maybe a hint of nutmeg but really not much sign of the barrel. Taste follows the smell, some light underripe raspberry and blackberry up front but the wheat takes over from there, a bit of a lactic quality. Feel is definitely on the light side, a bit thin and drying.

Overall, an easy drinking sour. Not particularly complex but enjoyable nonetheless. I'm surprised it's not classified as a Berliner Weisse.

Thanks to rudzud, this was supposed to be #4100 for me, but had a better beer I stuck in there instead.

Fizzy bubbly 1 finger head fades fairly quickly, no real lacing, bright cranberry cherry red color.

Nose brings nice Brett, tart fruit, nice berry, raspberry, mild seed tannin, juicy berry jam, tart Brett funk is light, mild vanilla buttery oak.

Taste brings nice tart sour funk, little tangy, tart raspberry and generic berry, mild Brett funk more sour tartness, but nice farmhouse funk in the background. Tart berry, mild tannic seed, touch of bitterness. Raspberry is very bright, little vanilla buttery oak note. Finish is dry but slightly sticky, nice tart raspberry, little tannic seed, and mild Brett funk lingering.

Mouth is med bod, little sticky flemmy note, nice sourness, nice small bubble carb.

Overall pretty nice.

Received in a trade. Review #2300. Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice berry juice hue with a thin white head that fades to leave a thin halo and wisps.

S - Aromas of nice funky brett, good light vanilla oak barrels, good acidity, nice berry notes as well. Good raspberry as well. Nice blonde notes too with nice light malts.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, the brett is nice but somewhat light. Nice vanilla oak, the berries are super fresh. Bright acidity, good sour tart berries. Lightly chalky notes, good acidity too. Very balanced. Little flemmy on the finish.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly flemmy, little thin, great carbonation

O - Overall this beer was nicely balanced, real nice funk awesome berry notes. Delicious raspberry wild with lots tannic berry seed and nice brett funk

Excellent raspberry color and flavor. First smell is pure Raspberry with a Brett undertone. Taste follows suit, I think the Golden base fit really nicely with the tartness and low acidity. Excellent Raspberry flavor continued throughout the drinking experience and it never became overly tart as I've seen many fruited get as they warm. Well done beer.

Berry Bewitching (BB) is my favorite from Toolbox Brewing to date. Toolbox is honestly getting better with each new release and they were already good to start off with. Had it on tap and the obvious first thing I noticed was BB has a bright red color with a hint of orange on it. It smells amazing which you would expect first hand with a great Raspberry sour but I'm simply a sucker for raspberries. The feel and taste is very similar to all of Toolbox's sours except it it really does have more of that tart flavor and they did a great job at allowing a great amount of Raspberry flavor to come out on this beer. Again, Toolbox is simply getting better and better with their craft of delivering awesome sours. Can't wait to try this from the bottle and do a comparison analysis. Until next time...
