look: 4.75 | smell: 2.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.75 | overall: 4.5
There is a warning on the bottle that implies the brewers intended the beer to be a sparkling wine or something - please, just tell us to be careful when opening. Lost almost a third of this brew in a hilarious attempt at fighting that and the wax dipped cap. Open this one with a team of surgical assistants.
Pours an unusual hazy apple juice yellow. Light colored sediment. No head/lacing.
Smell is sour milk, maybe a light lemon zing..
Sweet and sour fruit; rich lime, green apple with oak and tannin notes. High levels of sour balanced over a candy sweetness. Lactobacillus much more reserved in the taste. Almost a session beer.
Mouthfeel is dry, bitter grape skin and a puckering lingering finish. Carbonation is reserved. Pungent mouthfeel.
Delicious.
