Beers from Miami? Ok. Wouldn't have thought of great beer coming from this locale, but was very pleasantly surprised. Aromatic, fresh and very nice. If you see it, try it and enjoy it.

Gold in color with lots of moderate sized sediment present within the body. There's a half inch of creamy beige foam resting on top. The aroma is comprised of tropical scented hops including pineapple and guava along with some light malt. I'm tasting some very sweet tropical hops and light malt along with mango and cantaloupe. The mouth is moderately carbonated and dry.

Poured from a growler
A: Pale orange with a one-finger head
S: Super fresh, bitter pine-driven hops with citrus rind and some tropical fruit. Smells awesome
T: Orange pith, pine, herbs
M: Bitter, fairly light-bodied, a touch thinner than I anticipated
O: Very well made, the nose is by far the best part but this is a solid hop-forward pale ale all around

12 ounce can into pit glass, canned on 11/1/2016. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy medium golden/yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge tangerine, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, berry, citrus peel, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, berry, citrus peel, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/herbal/citrus peel/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, berry, citrus peel, pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, fairly crisp, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this an incredible pale ale! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink with the modest bitterness. Amazingly bright, juicy, and dank hop profile; great malt backbone, without being sweet. A highly enjoyable offering.

While this can is no where near as good and the on tap sample I had the other day, it is the same brew, and excellent. I saw this trend last year when we were in Florida - they have some great beers down there.

It's golden with fine head. The aroma is pleasantly skunky and hoppy. The taste is a dry, bitter hoppy, typical of good American pale ales. This one does it with great balance and is not at all boozy.

MIA impressed me with all the products I have tried thus far. They are reasonable values and good, easy drinking examples of each style that don't have any offensive characteristics. Highly recommended.

Pours a deep orangeish color with good clarity and slight head. Aroma is herbal and hoppy with some resin, bud and citrus. The taste has a small citrus note with sweet malts. Not super aggressive but a very solid pale ale.

Appearance: Pours an orange-yellow body, alive with active streams of carbonation. Medium-small, whitish head.

Smell: Lightly juicy, lightly candyish mixture of tropical fruits, hinting of mango, sweet orange, pineapple and zesty grapefruit with a little backing of florals.

Taste: Lightly bready pale malts with a candied sweetness that introduces the tropical fruits, quite juicy and inviting. Medium bitterness. Scantly resiny with some florals on the back half. Semi-dry finish, lingering fruitiness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: Pleasant, easy-drinking.

Poured from a can dated NOV/01/16,into a Cigar City pint glass.

Frothy,1 finger, white colored head, with a beautiful cascade.Golden / orange in color, with quite a bit of sediment floating around.Moderate carbonation.Beautiful lacing on the side of the glass.

On the nose I get a ton of citrusy hops, and sweet malts.Mango, orange, and some earthy pine.

On the palate I get bitter earthy, piney hops, sweet malts, and some grapefruit. Also getting some dankness in the nose.

The body is medium thin, with a dry bitter hop finish.A little bit of bubbles on the tongue from the carbonation.

As far as APA's from Florida go,I put this one right up there with Invasion. The hops and the malts are very well blended.I wish i had tried this one sooner.

Can dated 08/31/16.

Pours cloudy honey gold with a half-inch cream head that remains as a thick ring and leaves spots of lace. The smell is of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, apricot and peach with a hint of pine. The taste follows with mostly tropical fruit and a moderately bitter pine finish. Medium texture with medium carbonation.

This was a nice surprise. I picked this up as a part of a mixed sixer. I'm glad that I grabbed a couple of cans. This beer is delicious. Perfect balance of bitterness and malts... I could drink these by my pool all day long. I will be picking more of this up on my next trip to Florida.

Tried this for the first time at a beer festival and it was my favorite beer there. Went and bought a six pack because I had to have more. The nose is a bomb of citrus, tropical fruitiness. Taste is crisp, slightly abrasive and very similar to the smell. Overwhelmingly tropical, with a slight sweetness on the finish. I've had zombie dust, pseduosue, daisy cutter and other top rated pale ales, and to be completely honest, this might be better than all of them. Balance always seems to be the downfall of pale ales for me. This beer is perfectly balanced and so incredibly enjoyable and easy to drink. I will continue to support MIA brewing and I hope they reach the level of followership they deserve because they're making world class beer!

Super fresh, pungent- the nose is worth it alone. One of the new wave APAs that are more similar to IPAs than their maltier pale ale forefathers.

Highly recommend this one, worth seeking out.

Poured from a 12 oz. can with a freshness date stamped on the bottom: slightly hazy, light golden hue with a foamy, white head that dissipates slowly.

This one has an explosive aroma of citrus and resin. This promises to be a hop bomb.

It certainly is in a very good way; very nice, slightly abrasive citrusy hops greet the palate but there is a pleasant level of tangy sweetness that keeps this one balanced and refreshing. There is some resin flavor but it is mild and fleeting.

Very inviting level of zesty carbonation keeps this one thirst quenching on a late summer evening in the Florida panhandle. A very pleasant tropical fruit bittersweet flavor lingers on the palate.

Of the three beers a tried from this Miami, Florida based brewery, this was the most satisfying. I am sure I will eventually pickup another six pack.

Pours opaque yet crisp with tons of bubbles coursing upwards. Nice light orange color with a thin white head. Head dissipates leaving some spotty foam film on top of the beer with some lacing on the glass.

Smell is a pungent lively aroma. Notes of grapefruit, mango, orange, and pine. Tons of citra hops clearly shining through here. For an IPA the aroma is lovely, for a pale ale its outstanding.

Taste follows the nose with notes of orange, mango and pine. Bit of sweetness throughout with a strong malt backbone. You can taste the galaxy, citra and mosaic hops popping through this one. Maybe a touch of a berry flavor, but its not prominent or super noticeable.

Feel is a bit thick and sweet, but still very drinkable. Prickly carbonation initially gives it some pop without overtaking the flavors.

Overall, this beer really impressed. I picked it up on a whim and its been great. Tons of flavor packed into this can. Not that it goes to the beer inside, but these cans are awesome. Love the design.

Completely surprised by this pale ale......pours light copper with a finger of white head. Smells like a citra bomb.....grapefruit, orange rind, mango, and citrus. Some of the other hops come out in the taste....adding a little pine and grass to balance out the huge citrus notes. Loved this APA...this is very close to being up there with ZD and pseudo.

pours a dark cloudy almost amber golden color. Smell is hops and slight malt, piney. Not much nuance but solid, vaguely IPA like. Taste is more malty than hoppy but the hop presence definitely comes out. Feel is medium light. Overall I would say this is a solid Pale Ale that leans to the hoppy side without being overpowering. It reminds me of the good qualities of an IPA with none of the bad (and I don't much enjoy IPA's).

Clear golden orange with a tall white head that stays around and leaves minimal ropey lace. Notes of citrus pulp, flower, light cut grass, touch of pepper and herbaceous hop bite. Higher end of light body, well carbed, crisp and a touch dry on the finish leaving some nice hop linger. Solid pale ale, nothing more nothing less.

Can share courtesy of Steve. Another favorite of mine from the evening. Nothing exceptional on the pour. Aroma welcomes you with lots of fruit flavors, mostly tropical, Taste brings in a nice malt bill to compliment the hops selection. All around delicious and refreshing.

Crisp, grapefruity, tame and refreshing... almost like a radler. I used to be a strict Cali IPA guy. Digging these Florida style pales. It's hot out, I just cut the grass and this is a perfect reward! Availability says, "brewed once". I hope not! Well done, MIA! Keep 'em coming! BTW, change your graphics. I passed this over several times, because it looked too energy drinky! Glad I bought it, though!

canned 4/15. has great carbonation! nice, sticky white head. waited a couple minutes and then got a nice hit of tropical fruit. i get the blueberry somebody talked about.... it's a pale ale, so it's intentionally not hugely provocative, but the subtleness of the flavors is its best quality (after staring at the killer head and awesome carbonation....). so easy to drink!

Canned on tax day 4/15/16 at Brew Hub Lakeland. Pours a lighter orange, hazed, soapy white head, blobs of lace sticking. Smell: lime zest, blueberries, light milk caramel, plenty of mango, melon. Taste: a nice breakfast fruit salad with a little cream and a splash of bitterness - berry skin, melon, splash of lime, unsweet orange, dried mango, honeyed biscuit note. Took a couple tries to dig this (given the the new holy trinity of hop varietals, one expects big things!) but yeah this is really tasty. One might grab a 6er of this and one of Invasion and have a real nice day at the beach. The graphics are a little much "color run" but the overall MIA aesthetic is beyond reproach.

This is a good beer, but it goes a little too far on the mosaic spectrum. Very tasty, but a weakness there in being a little too close to a pale ale-soda in having to strong of a citrus taste. I would certainly have again, though.

MIA Beer Co. - Mega Mix. 6% ABV. 12oz can split between two mini snifters. Canned on 2/12/16.

Look: Settles a slightly hazy orange/golden, with a small cap of foamy white head from easy pour.

Smell: Strong mango, orange, lemon, grapefruit, and other citrus fruits, along with bitter hops, and sweet malts. Smells just like regular fruit juice.

Feel: Light bodied, almost medium, with a lot of lively carbonation. Very crisp and refreshing.

Taste: Like fruit juice with hops. Sweet citrus fruits like mango, orange, lemon, and grapefruit, and bitter hops balanced by sweet malts.

Overall: Probably the best APA I've had, since it feels like an IPA with the sheer amount of fruit and hop presence. Great fruit forward APA, with the hops still leaving it bitter. Great solid beer.

12 oz. can split between two mini snifters. Vibrant gold in appearance with slight haze. Some floaties in there, but not many. Overall, good clarity and topped with about 1/2 a finger of white, bubbly foam. Strong citrus and grapefruit on the nose along with notes of lemon peel, grass, and caramel/bready malt. The taste follows very well, with citrus and bitter hops being the two heavy-hitters. Equal backing notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, and soft malt. Wonderful. Great balance with a medium body and a smooth, carbonated mouthfeel.

Overall, probably in my top 5 APAs. Right up there with Zombie Dust and Daisy Cutter, although very different.

Nice fruit forward beer with hops. Definite Florida style with delicious citrus elements - also pomegranate, grapefruit and stone/gravel. Tangerine nose, medium body, good for sippin on the water.
