On tap at the brewery; poured into a snifter.
Appearance- deep black with no light; thin mocha head that leaves just a touch of lace!
Smell- coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate and just a hint of mildly sweet whiskey!
Taste - the coffee, vanilla, and dark chocolate flavors work so well together and the smooth booze on the finish make this such a tremendous big brew!
Feel - this batch is 10.2% ABV and the full flavors that hide the booze just enough, provide such a smooth, easy drinking experience!
Overall- this is the crown jewel of an absolutely terrific line up of beers; hits on every category!

Pours near black with small amount of head, good sweet aroma from the vanilla, flavor is well balanced leaning towards the sweet side a bit, with a good amount of coffee and a lots of vanilla from the barrel - a little thin but I actually don't mind it at all as it's a pleasant drinker that is nice to be able to enjoy the entire bottle of, overall well done.

I enjoyed a draft of this at Mockery yesterday. The base beer is really solid, there's a light barrel presence, moderate coffee, and a lot of vanilla. The aroma and flavor get better as it warms. It doesn't have a biggest body or best mouthfeel, but then again it's only a 9% imperial stout. For a $13 bomber and a $5 draft, it's a heck of a good deal. I left with a couple bottles after trying it.

Pours black with a mocha head that very quickly disappears. Aroma is heavy on the vanilla, also there is some white chocolate, and coffee. Coffee isn't as prominent in the nose as I would like but is certainly there. Flavor is again led by the vanilla, coffee, white and milk chocolate. Ridiculously sweet, one of the sweetest (if not THE sweetest) beers I have ever tried. A fuller mouthfeel, minimal activity. Overall, insanely sweet and I could not get through a glass, let alone the bottle. For those who like rich, sweet dessert beers this would be a great choice. For me, not so much.

This is a great barrel aged coffee stout at a reasonable price point. Dark black pour, smells of strong coffee & mild bourbon. Taste brings on the vanilla notes. Mouthfeel is the only thing mildly lacking, a little thin. Overall, this is a great barrel aged stout available in Denver. Pick one up if you have the chance

The vanilla here is a bit too much and seems more like extract that the beans which I prefer. The Whisky is overwhelmed by the vanilla as well. The coffee is overwhelmed as well and pretty much only brings bitterness. The mouth feel is poor.
I was expecting a great deal more.
