Wandered in after Third Coast Soif, in search of some grub and a beer. There was a maitre'd stand up front, and a U-shaped bar in the center of the room, with tables along the outer brick walls. In back there was a to-go counter, and to the right was a second dining area where we were seated. Out back was the patio, with bocce and curling courts. The bocce courts were small, with turf laid over wood decking, so it was very bouncy but still a fun court to play on.

Beer selection was craft-focused with good local representation, nothing really too wild on tap so I went for a Dovetail Lager. I believe they recently had Dovetail's lambic blend on tap, but it had sold out since.

Food was good, mainly pub grub. Went for the housemade wild boar sausage option and it was good. Fries were hand-cut and came with an array of dipping sauces. Bacon date app was very good, the bacon grenades were fairly generic deep fried pucks. Next time i'll try the goulash, which sounded promising.

Service was good overall, they have you order your food at the bar, which was in a different room. That system was a little awkward, but the staff were super helpful and friendly. Late afternoon, the food came out pretty fast.

Overall the location isn't too convenient for me, but if you're in the Randolph St. area, it's worth a look.

We went and it was crowded, large bar, and in their beer garden they had a curling set up. Good aroma of food, so we ate nice bacon chess burgers and fries and had some nice select beers. Hip place.

Decent bar. Nice food selections. Beer menu was decent. Nice atmosphere. Service could've been better. Took us a while to get served.

Stopped in for a few drinks on the way to dinner with friends at a nearby Korean BBQ spot. For that reason didn't try the food but will be sure to next time. I was impressed with the selection of beers on tap, though it seems like a lot of the selections they had on the list were out. Overall I was impressed - pours were offered at 5oz or 10oz for most of the draft options. An interesting list and the service was solid for sure. Will aim to come back for the bacon and beer tastings sometime as that looked great.

Nice inviting layout and vibe. Our party was upstairs at the bar, and it took over 5 minutes for any bartender to notice us. The first two beers I asked for (on tap) were gone. This was at 7 pm on a Friday night. The draft list menu should be updated in this case. The bartender did not appear to care, and was surly at best. Not a good first impression.

The bacon and beer sausage on a pretzel bun w/ pickled red onions and mustard ($12) was outstanding. But the Belgian style fries came too soggy, and the garlic aioli had zero garlic flavor. I asked for a chipotle mayo as well, which was slightly better. They're already charging $3 for the fries (don't come with the sausage), but then to charge another $1 for the chipotle mayo (a very small plastic cup) is not appropriate.

Things got better when our group went downstairs, and the ice curling was an original touch. However based on the price point, missing beers, and service I doubt I will return considering how many other quality options exist in the West Loop neighborhood.

I had dinner and drinks here as part of a group of 6.

This is an attractive place. The exterior has some nice signage and architectural lighting.

As you walk in, go through the door on your left. The bar occupies the center of the room. There is an elevated dining area on the east side and another room on the west side which I’m guessing is used for parties. There is a very large attractive beer garden that includes curling courts! I’m planning on coming back here as the weather warms or maybe just to have a beer and watch the curing ling teams.

The décor is really nicely done. Long tables, nice iron work art, warm woods, etc.

Speaking of beer, they have a great tap and bottle list. I like that they have an updated beer menu that lists brewer, beer name ABV, a description etc. I thought the beer list had a nice variety and that the prices were decent. Beer of the month was Firestone Walker’s IPA for $5 (16 oz. pint). There were lots of regional beers from brewers like Half Acre, Local Option, #Fs, etc.

The food was good, but I thought there was some room for improvement. I had their bomb sandwich which was tasty but a bit dried out. The frites were good but served cold. The dipping sauces were excellent.

Service was friendly but really slow. I mean like waiting 15 minutes for a beer slow. I’m not sure if they were understaffed or what.

Note that they run shuttles to and from events at the United Center, so I would include this in your pregame options.

More positives than negatives here. If they can fix the service and tweak the food, it will be a winner.
