this stuff smells like tropical, juicy sh*t..... seriously! like rancid gutter vegetables if they were hops being thrown from a restaurant. and i'm not trying to be mean. I've never had this brewery before (that I remember) and this is ONLY off the pour.....
okay. this is either bad or it's swill.
date on the bottle is 6/23/15. I believe the bottle is bad. the only reason I leave the review is if the brewery reads this they know how long it took to get to the store by my house in Westminster, California. and it may have been left in the sun. but 'rancid' is a good definition of the taste and smell. contact me if you want particulars...... but this is bad.........
but then others have voice the same. read the below:

Overall, this is a below average beer that smells decent, but there is a citrus cleaning product and perfume combination in the taste that is pretty bad to me. <- and this guy's had over 8000 beers on BA!

Finish is a very salty bitter celery that is (unfortunately) long lasting.

Flavor profile is awkward in the extreme.

I gave it a second sip, to be fair...... and poured it out. it was one of the worst things I have ever tasted. the offer stands for the brewery to contact me if they think I can help in any way....

A light-bodied IPA with a great taste. Smooth, providing an upbeat drinking experience. The color is unique, and quite attractive to the unsuspecting patron. The aroma is great and contributes to the overall experience.

I've never had this beer. Nor will I ever, knowingly. Just posting this rating to say that I'm offended by the name of this beer. I spent a year in Viet Nam on a base camp where defoliants were applied. 89,000 barrels total. As a result most of the guys I knew that I have been able to track down have cancer as do I. All related to exposure to toxic chemicals. Sorry, just venting.

This looks fine in the glass, dark amber color and a big head. Subdued aroma. But the first sip let me know this was going to be undrinkable. I can't improve on the colorful descriptions of others, but the main flavor is an intense, shuddering bitterness that has nothing to do with hops.

Since this stuff seems to have been shipped all over (I got mine in San Diego) the brewers and/or distributors should do everyone a favor and get this off the shelves.

22 oz bottle poured into ale glass

Good sized foamy head with lacing and a ring. Very attractive amber.

Orange, lemon, malts predominant smell

Orange, lemon up front. Not much in the way of bitter hops.

Refreshing, not great on the balance and a bit of a metallic bitter aftertaste. Pretty strongly carbonated.

It's different. Not bad, and a little too much ABV for a session.

Bottled 6/25/15.

Pours a murky dark honey orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, citrus juice, and citrus peel aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, earth, perfume, and citrus household cleaner flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a below average beer that smells decent, but there is a citrus cleaning product and perfume combination in the taste that is pretty bad to me.

Serving type: bottle.

Refreshing and light IPA. A lot of citrus smell and taste and a decently smooth finish. Definitely a summer beer that is very drinkable. Best drank very cold

Pours a medium orange gold with a very nice 1/4" head that fades somewhat quickly with lacing remnants and comes back a bit with a little swirl.

Nose is a lovely lemon yeasty white bread initially assertive but fades quickly to an elegant light yeast quality. No hop character in the nose at all.

Mouthfeel is thin, low carbonation and out of balance.

Flavor profile is awkward in the extreme. It is bitter but not in a "brewed way" but in almost an oily kind of way. Like someone took hop oil and poured it into water. Gets a bit better as it warms but this one misses the mark. I get no orange but maybe some bitter orange peel (and perhaps only because I looked and wanted "something" orange.)

Finish is a very salty bitter celery that is (unfortunately) long lasting.

L: Pours hazy gold with a rocky 2” persistent, clingy white foam collar that lasts over 5 minutes.
S: An array of orange aromas over melon, fruit, citrus and tropical fruit.
T: Layers of orange all the way through interacting with tropical fruit, melon and citrus as it crosses the palate. Has a light tartness especially on the finish where the orange peal tartness and bitterness comes together with the citrus flavors and bitterness from the hops.
F: Creamy, medium body and carbonation, soft palate.
O: Very well done with just the right amount of added orange peel to bring out and enhance the flavors of the hops. Nothing cloying or out of place.
