April 2014: Shared bottle at local tasting. Black colour, tan head. Interesting aroma of exotic woodwork and mild roasty notes, mild coffee and a little chocolate. The flavour is fairly bland for a stout, rather dry, with mild roasty and chocolate notes.

Lasting beige head with some spots and one large streak for lace. The liquid is near black with no light passing through the edge of the glass whatsoever.
I get sweet cocoa aroma to this beer. The malt nose comes across like a graham cracker. Attractive but sweet with toasted marshmallow.
The flavor starts off drier than the finish—I do get some black patent malt up front but the beer slips into the sweetness mentioned in the smell. Relatively thin, particularly for an Oatmeal Stout. Highly carbonated. The finish is brief and not as sweet as the smell promises. Overall, not bad but not noteworthy either.

Poured from the 333 ml bottle into a Taybeh beer glass. Good dark porter color, foaming head that settled down. Little smell. Taste was disappointing. Lacked the depth of a true porter. Not a lot of malt or hops flavour and certainly not the mouth feel I expected from a oatmeal brewed beer. This was disappointing and I wouldn't buy it again.

Pours a dark brown, almost black colour. Aroma is sweet toasted malts with chocolate notes. Tastes of toasted malts, roastedness, coffee, slight bittersweet chocolate; very smooth stout.
