Very Good
Notes: Our Signature dry-hopped and citrus-forward IPA with a smooth, malty finish. The perfect balance of West Coast hops and East Coast malts.

Clear, copper-y/crimson-ish coloring, fair layer of white foam above, leaving some lace behind.

In the nose: Bright, citrus-y hops start it off. Sweet malty notes keep time with bitter hops. A complex cornucopia of hoppy goodness.

In the mouth: Again, sweet and bitter take stage together, flooding the palate with their individual attributes. Well balanced, clean, and terrifically tasty. Citrus holds the spotlight, but other notes pop in, as well...apple, cherry, stone fruit. Splendid blend. Bitter and sweet take a bow, and the finish is dry. Medium bodied, expertly drinkable, and absolutely likable. In fact, it's downright delicious.

I definitely do like this IPA, and feel that it ranks among Minnesota's best. Go ahead and get some.

I tried this at the brewery whilst in town for a work conference. The beer poured a clear amber and had thin white head that did not leave much lacing. The scent had bitter fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grapefruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

On tap, pours a mostly clear deep amber. Big off-white head leaves sheets of lacing. Smell and taste offer a balance of malt along with floral and citrus hops. Solid IPA. Drinks bigger than its ABV.

I like this one. Amber with soapy lacing. Juicy hops in the nose. Strong malt presence here, so the hops bitterness is quickly tempered.

Mouth is viscous and thick. Hops bitterness lingers well after the sip is done.

Nice brew.

Had a pint at Republic. Overall it's a tasty beer, but there's too much sweet malt for an IPA IMO. Call it an amber and it makes more sense. Simply looking at flavor, the hops weren't full or rich enough. Yes, they're bright with pine and citrus, but they have too light a touch.

Had on tap at the Bachelor Farmer. I've been here so many times but have always overlooked the Prye's because they usually have something else that's awesome on tap. Thought I'd finally give it a try.

The malt profile was a bit roasty/caramely for my taste - kind of dragged out through the whole drinking process and lingers at the end. Not my favorite taste for an IPA. Had nice resiny kind of hop flavor though, was not too dry and not too sweet. Earthy, piney, with a bit of citrus.

someone described this guy to me as the golden child of minnesota brewing. not knowing a thing about him or the beer, i had to try it. looks like he makes just the one? too bad, because i wasnt all that jazzed about it. i mean, its well enough made, no errors in it or anything, but it just tastes like a million other wannabe types floating around. nice balance between pine and citrus family hops on the nose, but its a little more one dimensional in the flavor, and its a little overly grainy for having a bunch of them. still, its real fresh and lingers nicely bitter on the tongue after the swallow, certainly congruent with style guidelines. that said, if you only make one beer, it should probably be a statement piece, and this really doesnt seem like one to me. a tad under carbonated as well, the only real turn off here. nice enough as a neutral beer drinkers beer to more exciting food, but i had much higher hopes for this one. maybe its new and it will evolve over time. looking forward to trying again down the line when these guys are a little more established.

Pint on tap at pats tap HH.
Served without a head. Clear with a burnt orange color. Aromas of orange, floral with a stiff Bready malt character. Smells sticky if that's possible.
Taste is similar.
Mouthfeel is malty upfront, but a bit thin with a sticky, oily finish.
Overall-not a real exciting ipa. Average across the board.

On tap. Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled pine, citrus and caramel. Nice citrus bite with pine and toasted caramel.

On tap at Republic Uptown
A: bright apricot color, nice 1 finger head
S: orange, mango, bright earthiness
T: biscuity malt, rounded citrus notes...nothing to go crazy for, but quite nice.
M: creamy, smooth, some bitterness, but not at all snappy or biting...almost like an English IPA, but the flavor profile doesn't fit that. I'd love to try this on cask.
Overall: First time I've ever tried this beer/brewery, and I'm intrigued. promising and quite different than other local options.

Nice aroma with an underwhelming body and flavor. Astringent bitterness. Bold attempt at aroma and bitterness but the flavor felt ignored. Old? Just didn't hold together as well as other local options.

Has a citrusy nose with grass, resin, light fruit, caramel and biscuit.
Pours brilliant copper tinted gold with a lacy ½” foam white foam cap.
The attack starts with a touch of light sugar on the tongue that turns into pear and leads to a citrusy, bitter finish. Hop driven but well balanced.
Medium body and carbonation.

on tap @ libertine
A-pours a beautiful glowing amber/orange/yellow color with a tight solid 1 finger head spotty lacing thru-out this IPA looked great very fresh
S-tropical whiffs of mango and citrus some pine and earthy dankness
T-very good mainly floral fruity WC style hops with sweet malts hops are in charge here but in no way is it a hop bomb
M-medium carbonation hoppy and sweet ABV well hidden
O-this is a great IPA if you like the WC style you will like this one

Nice citrus hop aroma, bitter then sweet, finishes cleanly with a bit of malt. This is a great IPA, one of my favorites. Excited to see what Pryes Brewing comes out with next.
